As a forum we do not recommend the use of portable generators onboard boats.

Neither does Honda by the way. The Honda is not Coast Guard approved. Not ignition protected.

If you want to talk to a self-appointed know-it-all that will say it’s OK to use a portable generator on a boat talk to “Ask Chuck” at Boat US.

I dropped my Boat US membership after his article endorsing portable generator use onboard boats.
