Well i had my 86 300we pulled yesterday for the season so i have time to become a member of the hitwc.Today i have to go back to the boat,a 60 mile drive as the admiral emptied the fridge but forgot to put the bucket in to catch the water from the defrosting.so i will have to clean the carpet and open hatches run a fan smoke a cigar and mabey the michigan ohio st game will come in on the tv while in the heated storage bldg. but i doubt it.I hope my criteria allow entry into this fine club of workaholic fools who try to keep old boats butiful and functioning at as close to new as they or any other boat can.Glen

Heading out for the day this morning. Last week we took the Labrador out for a swim, he's black, black dog hair white boat! So I headed down earlier, 5 minutes into the clean up job and bang, one vacuum cleaner dies!

I had already stopped at the toy shop (boat shop) on the way and dented the plastic.

Welcome Danny, As before nice looking Ray, I went through a carver like you had and they are laid out nice on the interior. Hope you can slow the cash flow down but hey this is the "Hole in the Water Club" and that's what we all do is pour money into our pride and joy...

again welcome and I'll take a Bud light!

after winterization I have no winter projects...unless we find the right 340.

I've got a few winter projects for you if you need something to do!

Here are mine:

Install Fish Hawk X4 speed and temp unit (for deep water down rigger fishing)
Install LED cockpit lighting (she's getting some bling bling)
Make my own aft curtain.

Hmmm, weird, the boat don't need anything else..

I'll be busy this winter with our "hole out of the water" - I have some floor & part of steps as you enter the cabin that have turned to powder now that all the leaks are fixed and the wood dried out. I'm sure there will be alot of structure being pulled out and replaced as I get into it. Planning on replacing all the carpet and would like to put in a teak/holly or mahogany/holly type floor in while it's tore apart.
More for me to share and post on the "Official (1982-1988) 270DA Thread" while we are waiting for the snow and ice to go away.

Got Old Skool running tonight. What a great sound. Very even and strong at all idle ranged. Now it's on to the lake this weekend if the weather holds.

Bill, that's where you are mistaken.....go no matter the weather!

Well I finally fitted some of the bits I have been collecting. It has taken over 6 months but I finally fitted the twin chrome air horns. Replaced the nav , Lights with LED units. Pulled off the Guest remote control spotlight that the sealed beam had blown on and bolted a brand new HID in its place.
And weather has been around 80-86 degree all week whilst I have been down there.
