Hess trucks and Christmas time

Our son is 33, we have given him 1 every year since he was a yr old. I asked him today how many he still had. 30 are still in the box. The first 3 still remain, but are in bad shape, from miles.

The one I bought on ebay never go there. Was supposed to be here on the 15th. Wish I had a Hess near me.

7 years later. Still on my Christmas list. No Hess stations down here. Used to be everywhere in NJ. Actually Im not sure if there are ANY left? Santa still seems to find one every year though.

Has a special place in my heart since my older brother used to give these every year to my Dad at Christmas. Since his passing, I have those too. Probably 35-40 or so now.

Nice!
I started buying them in 1997. The year my daughter was born. Two every year. One for the kids to play with, and the other to put away for them (son was born 3 years later). The ones they played with over the years have been passed on to my wife’s nieces toddler son to play with, the others are stored in the attic.
No more Hess stations around here so I have to buy them online, but for the years I bought them in the Hess station I have the bags and batteries to go along with the unopened boxes.
Maybe some day they’ll be worth big enough money for my kids to cash in on. If not, they were still a great toy for the money.
