Guns on your boat

with as many thefts due to heroin and people getting more and more desperate on cape, i would believe it is you with the blinders on scoflow. the junkies are "growing a set"as you so eloquently put it. you might want to wake up, these people are willing to risk their lives for a high, are you willing to risk your families lives thinking they will back down from harsh language and a shaking fist? there are armed robberies and home invasions all the time on cape that the media will not disclose due to the vollital summer market.

Come on AFD - you mean junkies, criminals and isis don't play by the rules? You mean waving the Liberal hand of Peace won't stop them from robbing me, shooting my family or chopping someone's head off?? :)

Interestingly:

"The global toll of
197,000 gun homicides each year is made up mainly of single shootings – “non-conflict” deaths that occur during interpersonal disputes between familiar people, such as domestic violence and gang shootings."

"But where studies have been published, even in a count of “everyday” gun homicide, previously law-abiding shooters are frequently the killers."

"Another staple of gun owner belief comes into play here: the
idea
that law-abiding people with firearms make us safer. Instead, evidence shows that women, children, and older adults are more likely to die by gunfire from a household gun (typically, legally acquired and possessed) than from illegal guns."

"Researchers even found that in gun-owning Australian households:
The statistics also suggest that it is more likely that all family members will shoot each other dead before any external aggressor is killed."

Who cares? So you bought into a propaganda piece put out by your own government to make you feel better about being neutered.

What juggernaut posted is pretty similar to what happens here in the US. One on one shootings commonly by someone you know and often a family member.

Pretty much all countries have tighter gun control than the US. I was looking at boating in the Caribbean, gun laws vary all over. Some want the guns checked, they'll hold them while you're there. Some don't even allow spear guns or air guns, check them in. I think one didn't allow guns in anyway...don't bring them. What would you guys do? Would you guys simply not boat in an area that wouldn't let you have your gun?

Wow, you're really talking outside of your knowledge base. It sounds like you are trying to figure things out. I really can't help you.

Well, i,m just interested what scenario you believe to resolve with a gun.

If some drunk teenies enter your boat it might be an idea not to pull it ( but i do not know the law in usa regarding this ) , if the russian mafia enters your boat it might also be an idea not to pull it.

If someone is out to do harm, they are looking for drugs , money, or to settle a vendetta. If none of that fits your description , you have nothing to sweat. If you want to be paranoid , that's on you.

Site some examples of innocent boaters being targeted. That info just isn't out there. Kinda groups you into the bagless boaters club. Like said... Grow a set. Sometimes the truth hurts

Yep "sometime truth hurts" and if judging from your post "ignorance is bliss" you are surely one happy something? I however believe you are just another limited educated 'Troll.' Baaa-baaa

I've lived on the cape for 45 years. Let me tell you where these drug fueled home invasions happen. They happen at the drug dealers house, make sense? News flash... they know that's where the money and the drugs are at.

These aren't random attacks. I do own an arsenal of weapons at the ready, but stopped concealed carry years ago, just wasn't any activity to make it worthwhile. So if the harbor master doesn't feel the need for a sidearm neither do I

News Flash: You might know exactly what goes on at Cape Cod but I can tell you with great certainty, you have ZERO first hand knowledge about what goes on anywhere else - ZERO.
Before you make a complete fool out of yourself (which you are already well on the way to doing) you might want to take a breath, through your nose, with your mouth closed for once.

I also have a house in cape coral, fl I use 4 months a year. Very large city with a lot of crime. Don't even lock my doors, why? cause I ain't scared. You don't know nothing about me , bud, so really who's the fool here?

so really who's the fool here?

That would be you.

You claim to be over the age of 45 and you need to tell people they are in the "bagless" boater club. Most of us gave up talking like 12 year olds when we hit 13.
You stated that crime never happens on boats and someone comes back with about 12 examples and your enlightened response is "that rag" and then you choose to ignore proof of your being wrong laid right out in front of you.

My guess is you are to stupid to be afraid.

BTW: two 'f''s in scofflaw light bright.

For the record I'm 64, there's no age limit when a person knows when someone has no spine.

I prefer the word fearless to stupid and I'm sure the local harbor master does as well

I also can spell my user name any way I choose

It seems I have gotten under your skin, score 1 for me huh cupcake ?

Well this thread has gone to crap. There should be good discussion on the topic of guns on boats, not stupid written attacks between people that have never met. Chill out, post content or close the thread down... My 2 cents.

Not really, I enjoy having fun with 'Keyboard Commandos'!
And besides I'm still trying to clean the coffee off my screen after the "Cape Coral' big city line.
I guess if you spend your days in P town, maybe Cape Coral does look like a big city.

Incorrect - in the US (and Camada) the government lumps in shootings by police with those statistics. By far the single largest perpetrator of one on one shootings are police.
