I have been on this forum for over five years and I have learned so much! I just want to say thank you to all who have helped with questions and concerns over the years.
The sale of Sum Escape will be completed next week (just a couple minor repairs requested by Buyer to close the deal) and will be moving to the East side of Michigan to her new owners.
The Admiral and I are moving into the next phase of our boating life and are looking for a boat more suitable to living aboard and completing the Great Loop when I retire in a year or so. So it is all part of the plan to be boatless at this point. We want to be in a position to buy and would like to find a boat some time this summer so we can "shake it down" a bit and then do modifications we think are needed over the heated storage season.
I will miss the near 30MPH cruise speed but will not miss the "cave" salon during colder weather here in Michigan. We will get used to a fast trawler speed with time I am certain. And I am certain it will be much more livable for full time residency after retirement. So it is just one of those life changes we all go through....
I will hang around a while and post our hopeful success at finding another vessel before moving on to another appropriate forum. But I am certain this forum is among the best boating forums around so will be hard to match!
Thanks again to the sponsors, administrators and members who have made this a great place.
Fair skies and following seas to all.....
