I think the plan is to meet in Georgetown Friday evening and overnight there, head to Barefoot Saturday, then back Sunday. My guess is the Black River and Man cabin would be time permitting. I'll probably plan to leave my marina mid afternoon on Friday.

Nah, you guys got it all wrong. Sweet Dreams rushed things a bit and snugged up a little too close to Hey Babe on that last raft up, and HB had to take a little bite out. Lucky it was only a trim ring and not something lower down.

Sadler, Hey Babe took a bite out of my boat also. I think HB is a bully, I agree with Kes. lol.

Man, I hate to miss this trip on the ICW. Kes I'd have no problem escorting ya'll/everyone up to Murrells Inlet from the ocean side. It's not really that hard of a trip. Hug the coastline untill you see the inlet, it's well marked, then duck in. The inlet is easy to navigate, it has jettys on both sides and is pretty protected. Maybe late summer some time we can plan a ocean side trip and come back the ICW from the north. It would be a neat "Little Loop" trip.

Your pics of the broad are great. I'll be down there this weekend. Hopefully, if I get a chance, I'll get the Triton out and run the river some. It's supposed to be a working weekend, I have to replace the back door on the beach house. Hope to see you and Jay.

Hey Babe is a sweety. She would never hurt another boat.

I think scouting an area and prepping for a CSR event qualifies as "work". What are you talking about. Surely it cant take ALL day to fix a door. Shall I send my handyman your way in order to free you up for a day on the water?

Sadler, How far is it to GT from Charleston? I'm thinking about makeing the trip from Charleston to GT on the water rather than trailering all the way to GT.
When will you be returning to Charleston. I'm still in the thinking stage!!!LOL

Nicky,

I'll return to Charleston on Sunday. It'd be great to travel together, if it works for you.

Let me do a little checking and get back this evening. I'm pretty sure we can make it in a few hours from Charleston if we go straight without stopping, but I'll check and get back.

The starting point will be roughly mile marker 470, which is the Wapoo Creek bridge. (RE marina is roughly time wise the same distance from Charleston as that bridge is from Charleston). The end point is mile marker 402 at the marina. So total miles is 68 miles. There are a few no-wake areas, so average speed might be 20 mph, giving travel time from the marina of approx. 3.4 hours. We could leave Charleston anytime Friday so long as we got to GT before dark. I'm flexible, I can be ready to leave when you are. There's a great anchorage half way to Georgetown in the Cape Romain National Seashore. Be fun to go half way Thursday evening late, then last half Friday.

Mile marker 354 is BF Landing swing bridge, so return trip is 470-354, or 116 miles, giving 5.8 hours total return time, a doable trip for Sunday, or we could overnight Sunday on anchor part way back, and get back to the Marina early Monday morning.

That will give us something to think on. I'd love to do the late thurs. and return on monday. I'll have to see how work is going, if I can be gone that long.
