Which problem? There are so many.... if you mean the hurricane thing they decided they needed more than the usual places so they could put less people in a given location and space them as much as allowable. Also they planned to curtain everything as much as they could.

I haven't talked to my step-son since this started so haven't heard anything from him. My granddaughter is here with us now so when we take her home tomorrow I might hear more about it if he is home. My wife is the one that said they had found some potential evidence in the house but I don't know if she got that directly from him or from Facebook.

Not going to give too much detail here and I don't know ALL of the facts anyway but father and son from that house were both arrested. Son fled to Maryland but they got him. My step-son found the victims body. Supposed to be all over the local TV news channels today so I'll try to record them.

Suspect was white and known drug dealer. Victim was a young black kid. Not that any of that matters but with everything going on figured somebody would be curious. Just glad they caught the guys

Heavy rain in the Carolinas today through Friday. That should put an end to the riots. No one wants to riot in the rain.
 
So just talked to step-son. He said there were about 350 people outside that house that night. He said the mother of the victim was very nice and when he went to meet with her she apologized for all the rioters and said most of them didn't even know her son. Step-son said most were from a town a few miles away.

They had an arrest warrant ready Saturday with no body. DA said today on the news that there have only been 550 some no body cases in the U.S. They prepared one in 7 days but then found the body on Monday. The rioters and Facebook jockeys kept saying the police weren't doing anything to solve it. Step-son said he put 84 hours in last week and has to leave tomorrow morning for Ocean City to pick up the suspect.

Well he got back from Ocean City today with the suspect.

So I worked all day thru my lunch and stopped at my favorite bar for a late lunch/dinner in Michigan..... They completely screwed up happy hour but that's another story.
So as usual I get flung into controversy with this post from a friend who is for BLM

So I think the tipper is funnier than hell.... Who said a tip had to be monetary? :)... And how do you know she was smiling.

Well ...I know the bartender quite well at the restaurant I am at and I show her the post and she is mortified and loses it....and said they should have tipped. So I said ya but she brought politics into a business... The bartender didn't care ...in these times customers should tip....she said

Hmmm... I was perplexed and still pissed off about happy hour....so I left a tip written on the receipt.... "bring back deep fried mushrooms".... She laughed.... Only because I also gave her a cash tip :)

We never leave a tip on our card. Always leave a cash tip so our receipt would look the same. Maybe they did leave a cash tip but adding that wouldn't support her story

Here's a good listen from Joe Pags about BLM. I couldn't agree more. I went on BLM's website and it indeed states what he says.

My 16 year old was just pressured (Monday) from one of her school friends, asking why she didn't post BLM stuff on her Instagram page and never went to any Minneapolis protests. (In regards to going to the protests, not gonna happen while I'm alive or she's an adult) She called me at the office in tears, so we had a conversation for about 45 minutes. She was afraid of loosing all of her friends because this girl copied about 15 people while calling my daughter out. She doesn't want to get involved in politics (mainly because she isn't brainwashed like her friends) and told her friend that. Thankfully her friend backed off.

I let her know the only thing you have is your principles in this case, and stick to them. There's nothing wrong with telling your friend that you don't get into politics. If she can't accept that, maybe its time to reevaluate that relationship. (easy for me to say) I sent this Joe Pags rant to my daughter and surprisingly she watched the whole thing, and "got it". The "got it" part wasn't surprising.

No her friend is not. She has friends from all ethnicities and backgrounds. I was pretty disappointed because the girls Mom was the only parent to come to our door to meet us when we were chaperoning 9 of her new school friends at the time, to a dance. That impressed my wife and I, and she was really nice, as most parents just drop the kid off and leave.

She started at a new Charter High School last year. My daughter went to a private k-8 school until getting accepted in this Charter school.

I've discovered, as probably everyone in this forum, that it's really easy to sit behind a keyboard, bully and be cruel. It's even easier if no-one knows who you are. I hope it doesn't escalate but I don't think it will. They've been friends for a couple years in this friend group. Maybe US society has a chance.

Maybe boys are different. But the kid has a couple of those progressive type friends. They send out the petitions and where on the corner with their BLM signs. The rest of the friends group laughed and headed to the bars.
 
My neighbors home was broken into last week. My security cameras caught a picture of the likely culprit. He was a white guy wearing a red and white hat. The cops couldn’t ID him from the camera footage though so they said they would take a report but wouldn’t investigate it further. He didn’t steal much but made a mess in the house. What did this accomplish? Whites don’t do themselves any favors.

My son went to Costco in Indianapolis off 82nd street with his 1yr old son. Came out to find this. Witnesses said 5 blacks between 16 and 20 went to black pickup trucks with fabric tonneau covers and cut them up...3 trucks in total my sons had the least amount of damage. This was at noon yesterday.
Cops said they can’t do anything about it
I know there is worse stuff going on but what was the gain?.... what did this accomplish .... blacks don’t do themselves any favors.

Seems like there's a lot of people with nothing to do but stay up all night and destroy property. My Ring alerts for my area are constant now, from shootings to burglary, and I thought I lived in a good neighborhood. We pay taxes like we do anyway.
Now we have violence in Kenosha WI over an officer involved shooting, and a Governor condemning the officers actions when the investigation has only just begun.
