Truly is!!! But what are you going to do when it is the only game in town.
The shity part is the weekend trips or three day trips don't really make sense as you would spend the same amount in fuel for a 7 day trip out on the lake as you would for a two day trip. I guess I will just be forced to take seven to ten day trips :)

Just called around my lake.... My marina is 6.50/gallon...50 cents off with your membership card... Across the lake is 4.99/gallon. Scheduled to take on between 150-200 gallons I'd imagine. I think I'm going across the lake!
 
The marina where my boat is being commissioned and launched called and said "your notes state filling the tanks, but how much do you want?. You have 300 gallon capacity, that's gonna be over $1500". I told them my tanks only hold 180 gallons, and they are half full, so go ahead and fill them, and ill expect a fuel bill around $500.

Sad part is that they obviously havent even looked at the boat yet to know what I have and need. Looks like a June launch at best for me. :(
 
Yesterday, price at Burnham Harbor Chicago was $6.14/g for regular fuel.
 
Step-father said it's almost $8/gallon for Valvetech at the only fuel dock on in our pool
