Fried 110v outlet in bilge

Heading to the Marina today to do the interior cabinet hardware and 12V light upgrade. This is now on my list to check as well.

At the very least, I would think that there would be some type of printed information in the owners manual saying that this recptacle is only to be used for specific uses....i.e. as a convenience outlet to be used ONLY when a human is in the ER with the ER well ventillated and not to be used as a receptacle for any permanent installation?

Great advice. And there should also be adequate signage in the ER for those of us who do not read their owner's manuals.

I believe my manual does state that it is there to use when performing service on the boat.
