Vacationing in northeast Maryland. Got on the Bohemia river just after 10 pm on Friday. Around 12:30 am I heard the VHF for a special weather alert about server thunderstorms coming up the shipping channel. We could see the lightening storm off to the south. It very common for storms to come up the channel like that. And a lot of boats take refuge in the Bohemia cause its pretty protected. Well before u knew it the storm was right on top of us. The boat was being tossed around like it was a piece of paper. I had 5 foot waves crashing over the bow and stern. It seemed like the wind was constantly changing direction. The rear camper section got shredded. Likely the 26 year old 268 held together. Found out the next morning the winds we clocked at 80 mph
