It's great to be back.
After spending 5 months in Florida while there on a work project we finally have her back home where she belongs.
We are actually relieved she never saw the saltwater and happy we were able to get a bunch of small projects completed while she was there.
Can't wait to put here in next week after I put the arch and radar back on.

Crossing the Mackinac Bridge with 120 miles to go after a 2 day, wide load haul.

Fresh water is for wimps! :)

Nothing wrong with the salty stuff - we enjoy spending time on it; with my brother in law's boat :)
We were just not looking forward to the extra maintenance and reducing of her lifespan.

I know, I was just giving you a hard time becasue everybody is a slatwater hater. Enjoy the summer!

wow 2 day tow that sounds exhausting! glad to see it went well though, very encouraging since I'll be towing my 270 around 200 miles for the first time this Thursday

Why take your boat to Fla and not boat? Were you living in it as a home? Was the arch & radar to tall to tow? So many questions....Mike.

Answers?

An aircraft program had me working on-site in Vero Beach, FL last year. We were going crazy having the boat still in Michigan storage from the previous winter while down there. Pulled it down in November, started de-winterizing and salt water prepping with intention to use and had the 2 year program cancelled 3 weeks later. Then took it across to Pensacola on the way home for storage at the in-laws while Michigan winter was still in full swing.

Radar arch was removed and taken home so I could do some refinishing over the winter (painted aluminum arch).

Pulls went great, over 4,000 miles and only 1 old trailer tire lost on the way down. Return trip went flawless.Avoided Ohio with wide load permitting (too involved with insurance). Kentucky and Indiana we could travel at night. Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Michigan daytime only.We used our 1999 F350 Long Bed Crew Cab with a 7.3 Diesel. Put new electric brakes and wiring on the trailer before the first pull.A tire note: The trip down had the truck on a set of BF Goodrich All-terrains, load range "D" and the return trip had a new set of load range "E". A tremendous improvement with the stiffer sidewall - other than the added pulling load you could not tell the boat was there - no soft feel or float.

This probably answers most questions and then some - just need to get in the water now.

Later Eh!

Thanks.....inquiring minds and a slow day just needed to know, Mike.
