Doug "Go Aweigh To" in the hospital

A boating friend of Mine who recently joined us on the CSR/iBoatNW rendezvous, Doug "GoAweigh2452" (the token Bayliner owner here) went into the hospital over the weekend.

Here's the post from his Admiral, Lea,(aka Fanaddicts)

Doug asked me to email the group, notifying you that he has been hospitalized at the Navy Hospital Sunday afternoon, for an E-coli Sepsis bacterial infection as a result of his prostrate biopsy that was performed on Friday. Quick onset of the symtoms hit on Saturday and we've spent the weekend in the ER. He is currently quite sick running a high fever, shaking convulsions and headaches from the blood infection. Today, our second extended visit to ER they admitted him and are pumping various antibiotics and full time IV trying to get the temperature to break. It keeps spiking.

<o>I just called to talk to him this evening, having spent the day in the hospital with him, and found out they moved him to ICU for better observation. What a way to find out, me calling the hospital not them informing me..

Thanks Todd and Mo... I appreciate you offering to help. Right now I'm pretty numb, but rest assured if I need anything I won't hesitate to say so. Just the support is wonderful. He's at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton ICU ward so no phone. I'll keep you posted, I'll be back there first thing in the AM

OK Todd, What did you feed him on this vacation you guys went on....

It sounds like:
"for an E-coli Sepsis bacterial infection as a result of his prostrate biopsy that was performed on Friday."
I'm not sure if there was some negligence from the procedure, but it sure sounds like it.
