I spoke of this in one of the posts earlier in the week...

I have been with My Dad since Monday, I stayed with him in the nursing home all last night, slept in a chair by his bed and kept him comfortable. My Mum and my wife and daughter were in around 0930 am this morning, and he left us at 10am.

I will be raising a glass of scotch in his honour on World Whiskey Day, and probably several before and after.

My daughter and I were down on Sunday, and took him out for lunch and we had a great day, he started to fail early Monday Morning. He fought until today.

I'm so sorry for the loss you and your family must feel. I too will soon raise a glass to celebrate his life and our internet friendship.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my mom a few years back and just spent a week visiting my dad.
I will raise a whisky in honour of your father.

Our condolences on your loss.

Ian, sorry to hear of the loss... I, and my family, know the pain of loosing the patriarch so I wish you all the strength and courage you need to get though the difficult time.

Like others, I will raise a glass in honor as well.
