CSR Rendezvous 2009 – Atlantic City NJ

OK, here's the deal.
I called them at 8:55 & 9:05 - no one home. Left message to call me briefly describing our situation. No call back so I called again at 9:30. They are home but don't have the proper computer apparatus set up to take reservations as of yet. I gave her my cell# and she will call me back and then fax a sheet that needs to be filled out with each boat's size, each boat's captain, each captain's phone # and a credit card#. I certainly dont want all these credit card #'s but I'm sure we can set up a call-in system, they'll check the list and take that cc # at that time.

I am not going to be home again until sunday and have no access to a fax. Anyone have instantaneous fax receiving capability that can take this fax and email it to me?

BTW, the guy I spoke to a week and a half ago said NOTHING about this form that needs to be filled out despite me telling me about the group.

The person there told me the sheet is necessary to figure out how many 30', 40', 50' and 65' slips we'll need - which makes sense I guess. I would be happy to fill out the "form" but it looks like I need your boat info (name, size), your name & phone #. This is certainly pretty standard info for reserving a slip anywhere that I've ever stayed at. They do have a 48hr cancellation policy (ie: you decide Wed July 1 to NOT attend, you are allowed to cancel no charge.

Anyway, I do I have this info for some of you but not all. If this doesnt sit well with people, than we'll each have to call and mention that you're with the group (CSR?) ask to be seated with said group.

Thoughts?

It has been my experience that whenever you speak to someone at a "service" business and they say they'll get back to you, they never do. I intend to follow up later today if I dont hear back. BTW, while away, I will have access to email and internet.

I'll give them a call Jan2 AM - scanning this thread I counted 19 "definite maybes."

OK so here's the deal. 19 credit cards with about about 10 or 12kilodollars of credit left on them. On July 4th Ron shows up in this.

And he takes the Tee from Dom.

Just received the fax from Farley and sent it to Ron. He'll need the following information.

  • Vessel name
  • Owner's name
  • LOA (including bow pulpit and swim platform
  • Beam
  • Electric (30 or 50 amp)
  • Credit card account number and expiration date. (really!)

The form is here if you're curious, but only Ron needs to complete it.

Once Ron completes the form and sends it back to Farley, you can call with your credit card number and reserve. It's not necessary to give Ron your credit card info or to post it. Sorry, Ron. No 480DA for you.

I just read the entire form. It details the marina's charge, deposit, cancellation, etc policy. Worth reading. Failure to follow the policy will result in... well.. just see post #131..

Best regards,
Frank

Well... the last time you booked something for me I had to walk down a back alley and recite some secret names and phrases to a security guard to get the tickets.

Ron,

I just emailed you my info as well.

Thank youze go out to all my associate cruise directors, esp Frank C, without whom, none of this would have been possible, at least not until monday morning.

Now come on people, I need to hear from you with Vessel Name, Owner name (no aliases please), LOA, Beam required amperage (30 or 50). Hold off on the credit card info. You can give that to them via phone call.

Lets go people. There's barely 6 months left!

Let me sum up the fineprint. If the "Group" trip is cancelled later that 14 days prior to the scheduled date, there will be a charge of $25 per vessel to the "Group Leader's" credit card (that would be MINE). Vessels can cancel individually with 48 hours notice to Farley. So you are not locked into the trip. If a vessel cancels after the 48 hour period or fails to show up, that owner's credit card will be charged whatever the fee would have been if you had showed up.

PM me with your info, NOT credit card info.
Thank you, that is all.

We had dinner with friends this evening to whom we mentioned this trip. They are interested in going with us. Well, not actually with us as they would leave the same dock as Just Ducky 2 hours after we do and arrive in A.C. 30 minutes before we do, but they'd be there with the all of us for the weekend. I'll let you, Ron, know in a day or so. They have a 38' Sonic, Pandemonium II 8.5' beam 30amp service.

Best regards,
Frank

How long do we have to get them the credit card info. I'd love to reserve now. Just not sure since the boat is not running quite yet. It does seem like I'm making good progress especially since i'm not really equipped for this type of job here at home (IE swapping out engines.) The difficult part is my boat won't fit in my shop! At least not all the way. I have a Thread in "PICS" with plenty of pics of my method of getting the boat "in the garage". I'm sure I'll have her done by then, but seems like i'm jinxing myself making reservations. Any input?

Basic question....and it may have already been answered here....but what days is the 'group block' reserviation for?

1-Fri and Sat night
2-Sat and Sun night.
3-Thur, Fri, Sat nights
4-Fri, Sat, Sun, nights
5-something else?

Most likely, I'm option 4

I'll elect Dom's #4, too.

Depends if I have to leave early because my kids burned the house down back here in Virginia.

OK
I'm booking for the GROUP fri and sat nights. If you want more tell them when you call to book.

Steve, dont worry about booking. If you THINK you'll go, book it - you can cancel w/o penalty as little as 48 hours in advance. So by July1, if Stugots isn't looking good for the trip, call and cancel. NO PROBLEM!

Ah, Frank may bring HIS gold chain buddy. Mine is NOT coming, BTW.

I MIGHT stay sunday night too - depends on weather. They'd probalby have no trouble accomodating you an extra night for the sunday - even if you decide at the last minute. They may just have to move you.

If the house is already burned down, what do you have to go back to in Virginia? Might as well hang with the group and have a few extra laughs for the road. You'll need them. And it's not like the cinders are going to be going anywhere. Right?

That works!

Tom doesn't wear gold chains, but Patty does. Good enough?

Hey Steve:

I don't know if you are of Italian decent, but out of curiosity, are you familiar with the 'meaning' of your boat's name?

I posted in this thread:

http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2337&highlight=stugots

bad memories of the first time I heard that word in my house as a kid.....
