CSR Northeast Flotilla 2016

I have the wake board on board so if any of the kiddies are looking to learn and there's somebody with a tow boat looking to tow I'll be offering lessons.

Lets coordinate that Bus ride Harold as I'm sure a bike ride will last all of 5 minutes with my kids.
Thanks Scott. I just mapped the route to use the bicycle and since it looks like a good 20 mile roundtrip, BUS IT IS!!! I am in ok shape, but I know my 7 year old will conk out long before we get either direction and I will need to pedal for both of us, and probably have to tow the Admiral too!!

So, for MV we have a bicycle tour and what looks like a bus ride to the beach. Which days do we want to do which? I would be up for a bicycle ride from VH to Oak Bluffs along the coast, and I think I can get my crew into that. If we can pin down, as best we can guess, what day is which, I can make reservations for the bikes. As I need the trailer/cycle for Danny I don't want to miss out on getting one.

Day doesn't matter to me but when u reserve your bike please forward me the number to the place. I need a bike and trailer myself and a bike for donna.

I was looking at this place: http://www.vineyardbicycles.com/rentals
They have the Trailercycle that would be good for Danny. They also have the actual trailers too that would be good for Paisley.

Their info is:
VINEYARD BICYCLES

EMAIL: vineyardbicycles@gmail.com
Hours of Operation Mon-Sat: 10 am-5 pm. Closed Sunday.

Looks like they are about a mile from the ferry dock and/or lagoon pond.

Looks like we're bringing pulled pork.
Sadly we have some changes to our itinerary. We can meet you guys for a long weekend at coelcles, and then in Montauk, but the MV and Hyannis part we can't make. Work stuff got in the way, bummer.

Ross, we will miss seeing you guys this year.

Harold,

I propose 8/2 for a bike tour day. By arriving on 8/1, we should be all set and re-energized for full a day activities on the following day. It's obviously a bit hard to say for sure as the weather will be the driving factor.

8/2 for the bike tour and 8/3 for the beach day sounds like a plan. I will run it down with the Admiral then make the bike rental reservations!

I have a few questions for the experienced group. This will be my first multi-overnight trip. My 6 year old daughter will be with us.
1. Is anyone coming with kids around her age?
2. Any recommendations on activities to bring in case the weather doesn't cooperate at some point. We have the iPad and phones. I'll bring some board games. Any other ideas?

Im having an issue with my port engine coolant system but will hopefully have it worked out by next week. Maybe we should start a list of who's bringing what. I can bring beverages- soda, beer, wine.. Whatever the group needs

We will have plenty of kids on this trip. My last count put it at 21 kids under 18 years old, with several in the 4-8 year old range. My 7 year old son will be on the trip with us, so your daughter will have plenty of friends to play with.

The beverages will be welcome for the Feast on Saturday night.
Alex will most likely add that as your contribution to the feast on his post on the first page.

I (meaning my wife) has picked up several games just in case of inclement weather or if the kids become water-logged and need a break. I think we have Connect 4, another one I can’t remember and Twister. We will need to find enough space to lay that one out, Jonathan or Ross’s boats maybe the answer. Come to think of it, some of the adults may want to play a game of Twister too :wow: .:smt038

Anthony,

Take a look at this YouTube video taken at last years Flotilla by Dean using his drown. It will give you a great look at what the trip is like for the adults and the kids.

Nice videos. Sign me up for beverages. I'll shoot another post later to figure out how much of what I should bring

You guys are more then welcome to my cockpit whenever need be. My 2 year old would be more then happy to have the company and play whatever you throw at her. I'm also bringing the 12 person raft which has a built in kiddie pool for the younger kids with a place for the adults to sit down and relax right next to them ontop of that I'm also bringing an onboard kiddie pool that will keep the baby happy on the long rides. I also have Playstation 2 in the cabin for the younger children in bad weather

Here's a bike trail map I have. It would be a good idea to pick a route/destination that works for majority.

We've done ET to OB route and was a nice ride. Coming from VH, we have couple miles before getting to OB.
