CSR Northeast Flotilla 2014

Sounds interesting, but it's kind of a long ride just for breakfast, since it's in Daring Harbor.

I agree, a long way for a breakfast sandwich. We'll find something closer.

I thought Harold committed to making breakfast for the group?

What would you like? Omelettes, pancakes....I can do that...."Hello, IHOP, do you deliver?"

We got our reservation confirmed for a slip at Champlins. 14-17th. Seems they have some serious email issues and things never making it to where they actually need to go to. Heck after a week of trying different email & servers I finally got them to fax it. And it took two different fax machines & lines to get it. What a nightmare!!! I don't know why they just don't take a credit card over the phone and make it much easier. Also the reservation tool they have on their website doesn't get any response either.

So FYI if your going for a slip there STAY ON TOP of them lol!

Attention!!!

Those of you that wish to fish, Jim has removed Friday, August 15 from his calendar. I believe we have a full load for the morning trip, but we need to see if enough people want to fish in the second half of the day. So, who wants to fish???

Dale

Unfortanetly we will not be able to make the flotilla this year. I am reserved at all 3 marinas

Greetings All,

It seems like we'll have about 5 boats heading back home on Aug-16th. So, I think that it make sense to hold the "End of the Flotilla 2014" feast on Friday, Aug-15th. If everyone's on board, then let's start gathering ideas on where to hold the feast.

We have the following group for the fishing trip out of Block for Friday Aug 15th:

Just a reminder, the charter vessel can only take up to 6 passengers per trip.

Morning Group
Alex and Danny
Greg and Zach
Mike and Alex
Dale (part of the crew?)

Ross, when would you prefer on going, as part of morning or afternoon group?

Dale, how long is Jim staying with us, just Fri or the whole weekend?

The current plan is for him to come to Block Thursday night, raft with us, and then take us fishing on Friday. He will probably leave after the fishing is concluded, but I have not confirmed that with him yet. I will do so later this morning. He likely has other charters on Saturday and possibly Sunday.

And yes, I will act as crew for the fishing trips, leaving Jim free to assist with the actual fishing. He is the expert, after all.

Keep us posted, Dale. For now it looks like we have only afternoon charter still available:

Given the option I'd like morning, but it really doesn't matter. Whatever works best for the group

If anyone going to Mystic and with underwater lights on their wish list, check this place out:
www.macrisindustries.com

I had four MIU30s mounted to the transom and two MIU15s mounted to the sides under the exhaust ports. The result is one point twenty-one gigawatts!
The only thing that powers it is a bolt of lightning!
Harrison Macris was involved directly in my order. There was an issue with one of the units and he Fedex overnighted a replacement. Customer service was excellent. Quality excellent. Installation was easy for my electrician. This is the way underwater lights should be. Then end result is amazing. No dead spots. Just an alien halo glow of ice blue.

I have couple of questions to the group regarding the weekend at Westneck Harbor:

1. As you may know there's a winery right at the marina (next to the restaurant). Does the group have an interest in reserving a wine session? If we're interested, then we'll need to decide on what day (Sat or Sun). Just a reminder, we plan on having the "The Feast of the East" on Sat.

2. Considering all goes as planned and we're having our feast on Sat, how do you guys want to plan dinner for Sun?
- Dine at local restaurant? If we're interested in the wine tasting session, perhaps one of the options would be do wine tasting and dine in the restaurant next door right after.
- Continue with the feast and use marina's picnic area for Sun as well?
- Take few boats and go to remote location (Sag, Greenport, etc.)?

Let's hear your thoughts.

I'm game for anything, just remember I have 2 kids and no sitter. One is 3, so no late dingy rides for her.

Not sure. May just relax on the boat.

We would normally like the winery visit but because our son and dog are with us, we would most likely need to pass on the winery.
We would consider dining at the restaurant Sunday night.

Hi Alex

I might be interested in the wine tasting. What time would you be looking to do it, how much is it and how long would it be for?

Neil

The bigger question is "and Alex, who's gonna watch my kids?"
