CSR Lake Erie Islands 2012 Rendezvous

I used to have a Sea Ray. Am I allowed to the party??

Now this is just plain awkward. Who is going to break the news to Randy that:

- SeaRay Defectors buy all the beer at Rendezvous
- The guy with the largest engines provides all the vodka
- The boat with the largest cockpit hosts the rowdiest CSR drunks

It doesn't seem fair, but rules are rules, right???

Love it.... hahaha:smt043

The 21st works for us. It looks like PIB will be finishing the power boat regatta that weekend. They usually have all of A and C dock with B dock left open. Crowds have been very light the last couple years and Middle Bass should be no problem.

Aaaaahhhh......I'll be there.......on the jetski.........

Pyro,

Count us in if you big boat guys will allow a 215 Weekender!

Might be the weekend for Aquapalooza if they are doing it in 2012. Maybe MM on Catawba Island will send over new models for all of us to check out.

Just FYI, I hear Hazzards is going out of business (hope I'm wrong but the source is a good one).

I didn't make MBI Marina last summer, but was there the year before. The facilities (ie docks, power, water, etc) are wonderful. The harbor is well protected and offers easy entry. I went into the harbor on my last day on the lake this past fall, while actually on the sea trial of the Egg Harbor, and saw that the MBI yacht club had constructed their new Building. I also noticed that the State of Ohio Harbormaster building has now been built, and I think (someone else here confirm), that they have now improved the quantity of showers available to the dockholders. This is a real gem that has arisen from the real dud of say 10 years ago. Anyone remember that??

My only negative of the visit the year before was the fact that enforcement is quite strict regarding alcohol on the docks....a big no no. Additionally, when the admiral and I returned on the last "vomit comet" of the night, we wanted to sit on our boat to relax. I turned on the stereo at the lowest possible volume...no kidding...it was quiet. The officer who was walking the docks for security (a nice thing) told me to turn it OFF, not down, but OFF. I got the feeling that they really want the partying to stay over on South Bass.

So long as the lake cooperates, there are excellent facilities for boats of all sizes and MAKES.....even a jetski.

Yessss... Middle bass has full facilities now. Wonderful restrooms and showers in the new shower house next to the yacht club. They also built a new office building with everything including washer/dryer room. I know the dock masters very well and they have been more then helpful. the dock cop is ok just get to know him and he'll be find he gets on a power trip at times... so looking forward to this now... we have had a great number already...
St. Hazards site is down as well. IMHO they have gone down hill the past few years...

This is a great idea, but the date unfortunately won't work for us. The week of July 16th, I'll be heading with our motorcycle group to Maine and won't be back until the 22nd.

Should be a great time - rats!

Pyro,

This is a great idea and thanks for volunteering to be the "cruise director" for this group. I think we should follow the lead of the Long Island group. Do you want to add a list of attendees in your original post? Also, will there be a "group event" similar to their "Table of the Gods"? We'll help out with whatever we can. Looking forward to it!

Doing a little reading and talking to Chris from Walleyes, it seems as if Hazards is in receivership. According to Chris they do have plans so try and open. this is all hear-say so who knows. Would rather just walk across the street to walleyes rather than walking the 1/4 mile to hazards. I always feel like I am catching a disease on the Hazards shutle...

On a side note is anyone going to the Cleveland Boatshow this Saturday?

It looks like St. Hazzard's has been foreclosed upon.

BB... happy to do it and I'm very happy with the turnout so far...

We can make plans for the blue lagoon and they will reserve some space for us... I would sugest ordering off the menue and not planning a meal. I will talk to Suzie asap and get the docks sorted.
I will put up a list this evening in the first post of who I have confirmed and tenative...

Jimmy Bouy hate to hear you will be gone but sounds like a great trip non the less... if you make it my way please let me know...

I always felt like I was going to contract a STD from Hazards anything... JF is much nicer IMO...

I am upgrading to a 90%...time off pending approval but with this kind of notice should be no problem

I might bring the whaler over for the day. If someone would let me raft off, that would be appreciated. In return, I can offer a whaler tour of the islands!

You can tie up in my dock if the Park Rangers allow it!!!
