Cruising to the San Juan Islands and Canada

We were in McCovey Cove for a while but hidden behind a 400DB.

Ken, nice photos. Thanks for sharing with us how pretty it is down there.

Do you have any info on that old wood cruiser you posted the pic of? It looks familiar.

SR400DB, your just getting into my neck of the woods! Glad you are enjoying your new cruising grounds. I'll have to warn you though, the further north you come the more you'll be impressed! You better stretch your trip plan to 2016+ because the Canadian Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound and Broughtons will definitely not disappoint! Enjoy!

The further north you go the better it gets.

I will get some info on it and post it here. Real nice looking rig! Too bad the old schooner was going by at dusk. It was loaded with passengers and with barely a breeze, was moving very slow. It actually looked like it has a small diesel engine that exhausted out through the mast.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Acania. Good eye GFC, there is a sistership in Seattle! Check out the website...

Thanks for the photos. That is one gorgeous boat and definitely worthy of a total restoration as was done with her.

Those folks sure dress a lot more formally than we do!
