I thought I would post a few photos from our trip last week. This was our first full week of cruising in this area. Our boat has now gone from Mexican waters all the way into Canadian waters during our 11 years of ownership.
The San Juan's are easily the best cruising location we have been by far. The water, weather and views are as close to perfect as possible. I will admit my wife is not a fan of the heat, so the cooler NW is perfect for her.
Fuel dock in Anacortes: ($3.54 per gallon)
James Island (our first night):
Entering Friday Harbor (Sea planes are very active up here):
Leaving the San Juans (that's San Juan Island) heading to Victoria BC:
Time to put up the Maple Leaf:
The lighthouse outside Victoria Harbour:
Some photos from our three days in Canada:
The view from our slip:
Then it was on to Roche Harbor:
The final beer on the trip (at least the view while drinking):
.
I put 21 hours on the mains, 35 hours on the gen, used just under 160 gallons of diesel.
We are heading back in two weeks for ten days. Can't wait.
