Charleston Rendezvous Huge Success

Thanks all, Yea I like the picture to, it surprised me also when I looked at it in full picture form. It seems the picture invokes some form of emotional responce from who ever I show it to. I love to look at it and let it take me back to the island.

When I took the picture I was standing on the swim platform with my back to the sun bent over with the camera held close to the deck between my feet. I like the morning dew on the boat along with the sun peaking out over the trees. I can almost smell the coffee and hear the birds singing and the waves crashing on the beach. When's the next trip? Mike

Some of the guys still need to place their pictures up there.

I don't have much, but I'm uploading them right now. I was alone and didn't take many photos and most of them are duplicates of other's photos and/or not as good (especially compared to Mike's sunset pic!).

Gerald - Lets hear some more of them stories.

Well I can thank Sadler for not embarrasing me on this forum for pointing out my idiocy with knots.... when I broke down my mind was in overload and when Sadler came up to tie me onto his stern for a tow, I had a mental brainfart and totally forgot how to tie a bowline knot (which is about the handiest knot to know and one of the first I learned).... he finally said "just loop a couple of half hitches and let's go" which is what I did LOL. Of course now I remember now that I don't need to

Oh yeah, I missed being out of touch during the cruise so I got a VHF and will be able to be in radio contact with everyone else for the next trip

Ok guys now that Gerald got a VHF we wont be able to talk about him anymore over the Radio  :smt043  Just kidding Gerald. Get that engine swap done so you can make it down to PCB in June.

Gerald,

You'd just been cruising along in the Stono river enjoying the nice morning, when wap the engine in your beloved boat dies. Who wouldn't be a little disoriented, wondering what went wrong and what you'll do to fix it. Your brain had probably cleared the decks to focus on this new disaster, and knot tying was not a priority. Half hitches worked fine, and all turned out good.

By the way, Beerbob found the link you told us about. Just like you said, there were lots of hilarious solutions to your sticky problem. :smt043

Our family enjoyed meeting everyone and it was a great time, we walked all over Charleston, the aquarium, the Yorktown and then back to the Hotel on Saturday.

I really didn't make a wrong turn, I was just trying to get within firing range of the departing canbote  .

Great pic, thanks for posting the new link. It was a good trip.
