"Carolina Gang" June 2009 Georgetown Rondevous

To Sadler, Bob, Kes, Jay, Paul, Jane, Greg, and Tonya
Nicky and I enjoyed the wonderful weekend that we spent with all of you! Kes did a marvelous job with all the planning. I couldn't say what my favorite part of the trip was. It was all so much fun! The scenery we enjoyed was second to none.
This trip will stand out in our minds from now on. Thank You all for making it so special! Mike we missed your smiling face and hope you can join us again next time. Thanks again to everone. We are looking forward to a date we can get together with all of you again!

Wow, go Janet! Post #1! With Smilies! :smt001

Paul and everybody GREAT PICTURES!!! Thanks for sharing them. Looks like it was an awesome trip. I do think we need to make Kes the SC Tour Director.

Did anybody keep a Garmin Track they can email me?

Thanks everyone for all the generous compliments. But honestly, I just threw together a hodgepodge of the spots I know and like and am just tickled it was all able to be fit in. Even the anchorage at Black River that was a last minute whim. Well, maybe a necessity in the heat! It is one of my favorite spots and things to do with the water being cool and fresh. I think it is really neat to be that close to the coast and in fresh water. On up river is really pretty too and worth the excursion. We are blessed to live so close to such a beautiful area that has so many places to visit. And what a blessing too to be able to share and enjoy it with fellow boating friends!

I just finished looking at all the pic albums. WOW. It really gave me a neat feeling to look at all of them. What a tribute to "the Gang". Thanks again to everyone for being such troopers! You know, these pics really say it all. They ARE what boating is ALL about. No matter the cost, its prielss. So...I was thinking...what do you say about posting the pics on a new thread to prompt others to view. As ghost Chuck says, its fun living vicariously through others pics.:smt043

I think it's a great idea.

I looked at them all again too. I was smiling the whole time. That is definitely what boating is all about.

How about we also start a new thread to start brainstorming the next Rendezvous?

That sounds good too! I will start the pics one and you start the rondevous one.

Regarding my having to return at slow speed Monday morning: I came down to the boat late today and installed a new fuel filter. I just took the boat out for about 15 minutes and all is fixed. :smt001 Thank you Nicky for the great consultation.
My wife and daughter are coming to the boat in two weeks, and I cannot come this weekend, so I had to hustle to get things right, and today was my only open afternoon.

Glad HB is purring again. Could not stand the thought
of her acting up!
