And thats why we left Cleveland in 85. Nice city, bad weather. Could gone further south, but south enough to get back in 6 hours without having deal with ‘southerners’. Cleveland gets a bad rap. Its a nice place to live May to September.And very envious of your 70 degree day34 cold, windy and ugly here:/

Mine don’t either lol….I didn’t realize the weather was so nice over there where you are till I was on CSR…hope to get somewhere warmer in the next few years, still have parents here gotta keep an eye on

My parents still in Aurora. Wifes in strongsville. She has 3 sisters in Chagrin Falls. She leaving Tuesday fot a week, I staying with our baby Raven. Weather is might suck, i bought here a new brush. I’m more of a Road n Track kind of guy. First car was a 65 Triumph Spitfire, used, loved it but dam the British made some really shitty cars back then.
You ever had to put oil in the carbs every 2 days? Or spray CRC on the wires whenever it rained? Fun times.

Love the look of the Triumph, I love a good roadster, my first car was British, a 1980 MG Midget. My parents bought it new, and then I bought it off them around 86, it was plagued with electrical problems, but I loved driving it.

The infamous Lucas electrics. I bought a 71 Bonneville, replaced almost every electric component with aftermarket. Whole dam system was positive ground. Had to sell the bike when i moved to MD. No place to store and life with new baby didnt go well with an organ-donor machine.
I received an email today saying we have been awarded a potential pool membership if we pay $485 by Monday.
this means a mass exudes there or it’s a free for all….. last year we were so far down the list we were never getting in.
of course this email comes after I said I would never return there under any circumstance and declined the contract… weeks ago

It will be interesting to see what happens there this year. I suspect that there were a lot of pool memberships dropped in anticipation of the new pool going in by the homes they are building. A couple people from our dock sold the boat and purchased homes so they dropped the pool also. We have been there 8 years and have enjoyed it for the most part, but last year was trying to say the least. There is nothing quite like paying more every year and receiving less and less!
They need to figure out the labor issue with The Shores. Apparently they have increased their pay scale to attract more help, however with all the new homes going in I won't be surprised if they have made this problem even worse. Kinda like throwing fuel on the fire.
Even Crew's Nest raised our rates this year! Go figure. At least there I feel like they are constantly updating and adding more making it a good value. Besides, I can only handle the public docks for so long and it's nice to have an alternative to bar food.
On a positive note......I'm looking forward to Bash On The Bay again! I'm not sure where we are docking yet but we will be there all week!
I never looked into the homes as I would never buy anything where I lease the land....if I was going to do that I would put a trailer there....and that isnt happening. So you are saying the pool is open to the marina slip holders?
Management is the problem and the cause of the labor issues... Same management again this year so the problem wont be solved. This is why we left.
This is the first year we suspended our membership at Crews. We only use it for the pool and never dock there.... I didnt see the benefit especially on the ROI....since my wife used the pool three times last year

I feel the same way regarding the homes they are building on leased land, and we enjoy marina life. The existing pool has always been open to marina members, but with a limited amount of available memberships. I think it has been sold out for years. The new homes they are building will have an additional pool constructed and I think there is a significant number of marina members who have sold their boats and are purchasing homes. I'm assuming that rather than belonging to two pools, these new homeowners are dropping the membership in the old pool and plan on utilizing the new one which is opening up memberships. Time will tell whether these homes create a bigger problem for BP or not.
I also questioned Crews Nest regarding the rate increase, however they haven't changed the rate for years even during construction of the second pool. I enjoy it there and it provides a relief from the downtown area in addition to a restaurant that offers more than just fried food. Plus, the golf carts are the best!

What's going on there? Ownership has changed hands 3 times in the past year...
As far as Crew's Nest, we're keeping it just for the kids & company, when it's just the 2 of us we're at B-Dock unless we don't get there in time for a decent spot... Then we try Crew's Nest &/or PIBYC. If we can't get into any of those 3 places we head to Seaway on KI!
