Boating-vs-Golfing

Seems like you would have a bigger boat.

Pretty funny from a guy with a 23.

Anyway. I was just quoting Pete. If you want to argue with him, go ahead but it won't be easy. Sadly he passed away from cancer several years ago. I don't particularly have a dog in this fight. I do, however find golf, like most sports, incredible dull and pointless.

Guess I should do the neighborly thing and offer comfort to Tiger Woods' poor wife...

Golf is for closet gays who hate their wives. IMHO

While funny, I havent yet experienced that with friends of mine who golf. Most of the times they go out (and when I go but with less frequency) it is during the work day.

Is it really any different then when guys go play softball, hockey or wakeboarding? Or even go out with the guys to a bar? Maybe everyone who goes out without their wives are gay :wow:

As a buyer I appreciate the sales people who go the extra mile and take me out golfing, dinners, tickets to the game, etc. It makes me want to use them period. So granted deals aren't "closed" on the course, but the relationship grew better.

Now if you have two vendors who take you golfing... thats a tough one.

Shouldnt you be paying attention in class young man?

Hoping to go out wakeboarding today...

I don't particularly have a dog in this fight....blah blah blah.....

I love when idiots preface a remark with this stupid line. If you have no personal point of reference then stfu.
As for your VP of sales, he's a moron. He sounds about as athletic as you look. Many large corporate deals are done on golf courses every year. That's factual.

As for "dumb" and "pointless" it's called excercise, you know, cardiovascular workout, improved muscle tone and strength. You might want to try it sometime. Based on the pictures we've seen of you looks like it would do you a world of good.

I have never closed a deal on the golf course. but, i BE a big believer in all the deals boil down to the people you are dealing with ( no shxx sherlock. So, you tell me a better way to get things rolling or a closing than a round of golf?

And, if you think that boating is the best way to get deals rolling or closing, then park your boat next to a great golf resort as in Kiawah and you can golf and boat and party in three part harmony>>basically be in peanut heaven.

I doubt you've seen any photo of me. Once again, you have no clue about what you're posting.

Golf can hardly be called exercise. Considering that Pete's been dead from cancer for about 5 years, I think he's probably now in shape enough for golf.

In short, bilge slops are more valuable than your posts.

Oh and here's your quote back to you, appropriately modified:

String jg = new String("I love when idiots preface a remark with this stupid line. If you have no personal point of reference then stfu.");
System.out.println(jg.substring.length()-3,2);

Best regards,
Frank

Sure I have, we all have, at the AC getaway and your recent tie up. Short guy, receding hairline, pastey complexion, no muscle tone, about 135lbs, black knee socks and shorts, pocket protector, yup that was you sitting on the back of your boat. Look like a Don Knotts stand in.
Could care less about Pete.
If you think walking 4-5 miles on a hilly 18 hole course carrying a 30lb golf bag isn't excercise than you are a bigger idiot that previously thought. Tiger woods look like he's been siting behind a desk too long? How about Camilo Villegas?
Do yourself a favor and stay out of threads you know nothing of. Makes you look like an ignoramous.

Standing next to you, I look fantastic and brilliant! Thank you for the assist. You on the other hand, ... well you don't come off so well. And considering that interaction with you is quite boring for me. This will be my last viewing of this thread.

Best regards,
Frank

Golf is exercise. I wakeboard, play hockey, yada, yada, yada, and would have to say I'm in pretty decent shape yet I am still tired after 18 holes of golf (using the cart). Granted there is also drinking involved, but by no means is it easy. Apparently you have never played or attended a game with a vendor to post your opinion of the sport and/or the thread... and if you did play not only am I shocked about your statement, but picture you sitting on the cart as someone described earlier complaining that you don't want to walk up all the steep hills because your knees are bothering you.

Hey,

That was me on the AC trip, not Frank... And I was never Don Knott's stand in, but I love to play golf... Just wish I had more time for both... Also, I a too busy looking for my balls in the woods to make any deals... :smt043

Anyone who says golf isn’t exercise should try swinging a club violently 120+ times on a hot day in between walking a hilly course, never mind all the practice swings

Ha! nice try...

Look, there's our boy sitting on his swim platform. Quite the athlete! And look at that color...we thought Todd was pale?
Not the physique of someone who should be making comments about what constitutes excercise and what doesn't....

:smt009 I think this goes a bit beyond discussing. FC is a good guy as far as I can tell from here, just has his own opinion.

Golf IS exercise. I play a LOT of ice hockey and it is full contact, wakeboard, work out a bit here and there...do lots of things and can pretty much kick all of your arses :) After 18 holes of golf, yea, Im a bit tired.
