More time ON the boat! We might even cruise around a bit more next year. Two weeks in the San Juans was awesome and we'd like to do that again, but who knows what is going to happen! Depends on jobs and the weather!

'08 commenced our reintroduction to boating after 20 years off the water. Our first of 2 children was born in '87 which as well was the second year of the business I had started (Investment/Financial/Tax Advisory firm). Spent Labor Day in '07 on a friend's 240 Sundeck on the Peconic Bay during which my wife said, "I could get used to this." My reply?, "How much wine have you had?", her reply, "Switched to vodka", and the rest is history.

Thus, began my quest. Traveled/shopped from NY to Fla to ME and in between winding up with the purchase of the new lady in our family, a pristine 2000 340 Sundancer (170 hours) in S. Portland, ME. Hired a captain and began the two day journey to bring her home, arriving in Oakdale, LI on 7/3/08. What a trip!!!!!

Have since put 60 hours on her between 7/3 and 11/18 - still in the water, a little chilly, but making up for lost time. Thrilled about the reduction in fuel prices (thirsty twin 454 horizons), we're looking forward to our first extended journeys as a family (kids now 21 and 17) to Montauk, Block Island and possibly Martha's Vineyard.

Hopefully the winds will settle for a bit and we'll get one last voyage in to CJ's on Ocean Beach, Fire Island for a few pints before we bring her home for the Winter.

4 months and counting until Spring!!!!

From our family to all of yours, we extend our wishes for a Happy and Health Holiday Season.

All the best,

Captain Mike

P.S. BTW, still in business (26 yrs. in Feb. 09) and thriving in spite of the volatile financial markets.
