Blown head gasket...it looks like

What are you calling a "lap link"? Not familiar with that term...
These are nice for securing your anchor to the chain:

Hope you have better luck than me with boatyards and they get it done for you.

I have the anchor swivel, I'm just connecting two pieces of chain.
UPDATE:
Ok, so apparently it's not a blown head gasket. They have found two faulty fittings with this dye and black light and one suspect hose.
It's run in their lot for 1 -1/2 hours and no leaks no dye and all runs good.
Anyway she goes to the lake tomorrow AM first thing for a "Under Load" test run for an hour or so.

Cross your fingers people, we're running down to the wire.

I'm not sure to be honest, but the oil was literally a tiny tiny amount and (I mean when I found it was as small as a couple drops) may have dropped in the open heat exchanger (radiator cap) while they were checking engine oil.

I will ask but there is never any evidence that water is in the oil, and by my experience you'd see water in the oil before you'd see it vice versa

Hey Todd, that sounds more economical then a blown head gasket. Hope it goes your way.

PS: With my green bling approval to your above post you are now amongst us 2 green dot people.

This entire message string is great information and is like a good book that you just want to keep going so you can find out how it turns out. Keep up the good job Todd.

PPS: Tonight Todd gets home in a very good mood. Todd’s wife says “Wow you are happy. It must be because we are saving thousands of dollars not having to get the head gasket replaced in the boat” Todd replies “yeah, um, that….and…I GOT A SECOND GREEN DOT At CSR!!!”

Thanks Doug and we'll see how the test ride goes tomorrow.

Thanks to you I have two green balls

Just got a great phone call. Boat tested under load for 2 1/2 hours. No signs of leaks, or cross contamination between oil and coolant. All is good. I'll pick her up after 3PM.

Yep, I'm off work now, going to pick up the boat, bring it home and finish installing the bilge shelf and pack her up.
We're heading out in the mid-morning. I feel like I just got out of School for the year.

Yea alittle bleach and a wire brush!
Wife asked me an hour ago it I was smiling yet, I said I'm still spitting out bids and orders and trying to get stuff done before I left. She said "I have the bleach and wire brush"

I asked her for what?

She said to clean my green balls.

Thanks RR, I didn't see this 'til now and now it makes sense

I'm not sure if I'll be able to BLOG like Gary but we'll be taking pictures for sure and I'll have a good write up when we get back for sure

Great news, and something that rarely happens! Sounds like that dealer earned more pizza. Have a safe, wonderful and issue free trip! I am looking forward to the pictures.

Yeah I had pizza delivered yesterday.

They worked with me on the repair as well. I picked up a screw on the way they and ruined a relatively new tire. They took care of the that for me and my entire bill was $581 including tax.

I'm very happy and stand behind Lake Union SeaRay(both Redmond and Seattle Locations) as a great dealer/Shop to work with. The pizza is good in appreciation of hard work, the boat was spotless when I picked it up but also yields a crew wanting to work for you.
