The crew of Air O'Nautical will be on the hook near dingy beach in a raft party of a few boats till around the 10th or soo....

We will look for all the SeaRays on the block.

Greetings all, the family and I will be at the Boat Basin from 8/08 to 8/15. Hopefully going to Crescent beach as many days as possible and of coarse "The Oar" for mudslides. Can be tough to get in the BI BB; have to put reservations in early for July & August. Usually put us on “B” dock across from the harbor master shack.

Should be a good time!

I will be there on Thursday the 13th til Sunday the 16th. This is the annual big boys getaway! I will traveling with my dock neighbor (29 ft Maxum).
The countdown begins -- not that I am excited or anything :)

it sucks here, you don't want to come... gotta run, 20 women want to rub lotion on my back.

Just spent last weekend at the Block, 7/31 to 8/2. It was jammed packed. Arrived Friday morning about 8:30AM, I travelled with 2 other boats. We called Paynes for dockage, he told us to call him when we left Warwick, we did, then to call again when we reached Point Judith, we did, then call again when we reached Salt Pond, we did, instructed to go to the vicinity of Paynes Dock flag location. Guess what, then we were told they were full and DID NOT have any room for us, and they DID NOT take reservations, first come first serve. Thanks a Lot!! For the past 23 years I had always made reservations at Chaplins, never a problem. There you pay $4.00 per foot at Champlins. Paynes is $3.00 a foot. Finally after a lot of complaining and floating around for 1.5 hours later they rearranged some boats and took us in. Just the stress and aggrivation we went through ruined the weekend, never again. I could kick my ass for not putting my foot down and insist we go to Champlins. Anyone going to Paynes, be aware, I hope you have better luck than we did.:smt013
The moorings were being hawked by a lot of people on rafts, we could not grab one, they are too fast getting to them. The Boat Basin was booked up also. I have not been there for the past 4 years, a lot has changed. This sure says something about this BAD economy, you would never know it there.

I was wondering where you were Don. You were gone way too long to be in Allens Harbor :smt043

I'm heading to Block on the 14th. Hoping to get a mooring when I get there but you never know.

P.S. I think I've got the generator problem fixed. I'll know for sure tomorrow

Hi Tim,

Guess what, I'll be in Allen Harbor this weekend. I'll head out Saturday morning. This trip to the Block, I went direct to New Harbor, on the way back we went into Gallilee, up to the small Islands, turned around and came back to the dock. I burned 140 gallons of Gas this trip, now Allens looks even better:smt038.

I'm sure you will be ok, just try to get there early to grab a mooring, I still can't believe how they hawk them.
I'm curious about your Generator, let me know what happens.

I'm at boat basin. Leaving today for Essex.

We are packed and heading to the boat this afternoon, props turning by 9 AM Sat. on our way to Clinton (Cedar Island Marina) till Monday, then leaving to Block at 7 AM. Slack tide at the Race is about 8:15ish...

We will be at Champlin's all week, see you there

I will look you up on Thursday after we get settled.

Today I ran into Wizard at the basin with his very nice 380 DA "3 of a kind" and I met another searay owner who has a sweet 1994 370 Da which he bought new, Chip who owns Cinnamon buns. I told him about CSR and he will be stopping by when he returns to R.I.
I will look for the rest of you as you arrive.

Did you make it ok and how busy is it?

Made it to Block @ Champlins on the main dock stern to the floater about half way down on the west side. It isn't that packed here now, but I do hear there is a large group comming in tommorow.

Hopefully I will see a few more from CSR here.
