Bimini Trip 2013

That is still up in the air right now Randy. Really depends on when I can leave the office. I figure it is about a 3 hr run from Ft. Pierce to WPB slip to slip. I have a 2 hr drive to get to the boat so I am still trying to figure it all out. I need to also call Sailfish or another marina to stay the night. Coming up quick for sure. Also going to look at that 168 hr thing but I was looking more at the 180 hr chart. Still not terrible but hoping Monday's return is good.

Yes Tom, that's the plan, trailering down tues, should be in slip at Harbortown Dania Bch by 1:00 or so
 
I sure would if I wasn't trailering Randy, after that haul, I'll just want to get launched and checked in, I'll wave at ya from turnpike though. What time r u pulling out thurs? I'll text or call you from Bimini buddy :)
 
Randy, If I don't go down to WPB, I will leave FTP 0 dark 30. Are you planning on running over or a fast idle over? I think low tide at BBGC is at 1:00PM so me leaving early and a 5.5hr run will put me there just before that.
 
I will be speaking to Joel this weekend about the departure time as we are both leaving from Boca Inlet. My preference (if the weather and seas cooperate) would be to leave about 4:00 and go slow for a while to conserve fuel. after 6:00 we can increase the speed. all this depends on Joel, the weather and the waves. Nothing is set in stone, it would be great if the 3 of us could leave together
 
Who is leaving from miami? Is there a specific place we should meet on the way or each will have a different route? Also are we going to have the coordination call at any time?

Hi Andrea - nice to hear from you. The spreadsheet for the trip is the best place to see who is leaving from where and when. If you need one, let me know and I'll email it to you. The spreadsheet also has cell numbers for everyone
 
It would nice for the 3 of us to run together but if you do leave at 4am and I do get to WPB I am still 30 miles north of you guys so at cruise it would take me an hour to catch you which I probably won't catch you anyway. But, let me know what Joel says about time you are leaving but it sounds like I will arrive after you guys in Bimini. Which is good so you better have a beer awaiting my arrival :)
 
If Wednesdays weather is bad, I'll come a little north and cross with you guys
 
I was thinking we'd leave at 6a because that would put us at the Boca Inlet at 7a, which is high tide Thursday. A 4a departure would get us at Boca 2 hrs before high tide, and I'd be concerned with the shoals and my draft.

Now, we COULD leave at 4a and go out Hillsboro. We'd get there a little after 6a and could go out regardless of tide.
 
Actually, high tide is 8a that morning, but the window between 7a and 9a is most favorable. We could probably make it out as early as 6a, which means a little after 5a is the earliest I think we'd want to leave Delray.
