Bimini Trip 2013

I have one, pretty sure anyway, but have not used that feature. Usually we just call each other but I will read up on it and figure it out. I know Randy's spreadsheet had everyones MMSI number so I hope I can get it. It's a new Icom so I am sure it does it.

Rain rain rain.........I'll never trailer to F L again, horrible drivers with no respect for big rigs.....

See everyone in Bimini, in Ft Lauderdale at Harbortown, leaving at 05:30 tomm, everyone have calm seas and safe trip. :)

Will do Tom, if my tablet will work :( todays marina forecast showed 2-3, 10-15 SE winds

Good Morning all, just saw all of you guys emails. We're gonna head out at 6 ish from the marina here in F L, I don't have the luxury as some do as my boat isn't normally here and I took all this time off, prob get screwed if I tryed to cancel at BBG, we'll see what Port Everglades Inlet looks like in a couple hrs

I'm done, F*#@*# 2-3 my ass, almost stuffed the bow, turned around, that was more fun than I'll even discuss.....

you'll be able to cancel at BBG, just let them know..

I remember going over 2 years ago when it was supposed to be 3-4 and was 8-10 in the Gulfstream... Was the scariest and longest trip I ever took and will never do it again... Instead of 2 hours was almost a 5, used just about 140 gallons of gas going up and down the waves and never being able to go on plane... Even coming out of the cut at Port Everglades, I wanted to turn around and head down the inside to the Keys.

Sorry you had to cancel, but better safe ...

What's the forecast for tomorrow? maybe you can try then..

Tomorrow supposed to be better Barry, gonna call BBG now, sounds like that trip was worse, this was like a micro burst, 0 visibility, heavy rain with lightning coming/surfing back thru inlet, don't ever wanna do that again.
....

Getting ready to call BBG to cancel, I feel a stiffing coming on because of the holiday

They called for 2-3's when we crossed to Bimini a couple of years ago....they were much bigger than that. We just decided to idle across....took 6-7 hours. One you get in the Lee of Bimini the seas lay down. I see the forcast still calling for 2-3's but the 5 second period is what sucks!

Nothing wrong with Fort Lauderdale on Memorial Day weekend....or maybe a run to the Keys.

Stick around FTL today head over and get a beer at the Elbow room and consider leaving tomorrow morning.

No, I musta been getting another cup of coffee when you went by the webcam. :smt021

PS, Do a replay of it and I'll be watching this time.

The Elbow room helps to ease the pain of Mother Nature laughing at our schedules....
