Tom - thanks for the update and I wish I could have seen that Bull Shark, sounds awesome. If you took videos, I would love to see them. Interesting about bringing in the beer, are they concerned just for the locals? we can still bring in beer for our boats, right? I always bring Cisco a couple of cases, I'm glad you said something. Is the check-in still the same and are the Customs officials still at Big Game? In the bottom photo, is that your Tiara just left of center on C dock? Nice shot of Satellite Beach. How was the ride back?

No issues with bringing beer for your own consumption but there were a couple of new guys in suits making sure you checked in right away and paid up. Crazy about the 15yo and under stipulation.

That's my Tiara. I'll check for shark vids that my daughter took. I've never seen the water more clear and colorful.
The ride back was rolling. 15kts on the port beam. 4-6' with some 8's for the first 20nm. 2-4' after that. Longer frequency so not so bad. You can see what we left in Monday AM.View attachment 29655View attachment 29656

That would be a teenager comparing their fingernail polish color to the color of the water. Just guessing, but I do have three girls, so I consider it an educated guess.

At last count, there were 10 vessels committed to the trip with several others that may join in. Also, there are 5 different departure locations for everyone plus some folks are coming in from out of town and won't be getting in until right before departure.

regarding the captains meeting, I would suggest that we hold that either by email or on this thread about a week before departure. I can put together a short list of important things to remember and send that off to everyone at that time. If there is any questions from anyone, I would suggest those be asked before the captains meeting so others can benefit. I would also suggest that those of you that are leaving the same day at the same inlet talk to each other about timing and other issues.

Randy, I know you guys are leaving out of Boca and I am leaving either FPI or LWI but what time are you planning on leaving and are you running at speed or slow going? If I can I will join up at the rear of your group.

Tom - I think there are 3 boats departing Boca Inlet. I need to hook up with Art and Joel and ask them what their plans are. I always like to get an early start and would like to do some slow cruise before sunrise but we'll see. If you hug the coast down to Boca/Delray, then run at 133 degrees, you will be on our track. How early can you start?
 
Well considering we used to leave the dock at 4:30am to go trolling when I was in Daytona I can leave anytime. My plan is to leave early enough to maybe catch up with you guys out of Boca. If I start in WPB, that would not be a problem I don't think as WPB is only 30 miles from Boca.

right, WPB is pretty close. I'll shoot Joel and Art an email as see where they are with this.
