BIH Get Together (formerly:Navigating the Chesapeake)

Frank,
Truly Blessed II arrives Sunday noon with Skip, Kristyn, Andy (6, thinks he is 13) and Matthew (3, but in all likelihood in flexi cuffs and duct tape, unless his attitude changes) aboard.

Is anyone going just for the day?

Tim:

Definitely stop by....hopefully others in the "neighborhood" will pop in also....

Tim is not happy on a trip unless the directions involve going down a creek that is 12 feet wide and trees overhanging it....

Gary- I actually don't go to the "inside" of Stillpond (with the 12' wide channel and the trees) that often. Only to avoid a storm.

If you come back up to do some gunkholing, I'll show you where you can drive straight in and anchor in 8' of water in a cove ringed by sandy beaches, about 50' away from a sandbar (where we set up a volleyball net) and 100' away from the mouth of Churn Creek where you and the boys can go tubing/skiing in two miles of the glassiest, other-boat-free environment you can find anywhere.

The only downsides are that it can get a little "popular", and if a NW breeze is blowing (like in a T-storm) it's not a good place to be. When you get bored at St. Michaels give me a shout! We'll probably be there again this weekend.

Last weekend I actually had an Impulse III sighting there. Frank was out on a little solo diesel-burning excursion and I chased him down in the dinghy. Frank, maybe you should stop by on Saturday on your way to Baltimore?

Tim, I would love to join you but I think we have a boat load scheduled for an afternoon at Back Creek on the Sassafras. If things fall through, we'll take a run over and meet up.

I assume you are spending the night at SP and will go over to BIH in the morning. Remember I have to get there early to help Gary with his dock lines! :smt043

The admiral needs to head home early Sunday morning. The question is do I come over for the day after she leaves. It's a short ride from Rock Hall. But.... I'm not sure she trusts me with the children!

Hey Frank -- We're in! We got slammed with the tornado that went through Fallston, so neither Don nor I have been on the site for a while...and sometimes work gets in the way :smt014

So we are definitely coming.....just the 2 of us.....Deb and Don....we're considering going to Aquapalooza on Saturday, then head to BIH. Do we know the earliest we can get to BIH?

John -- Shhhh......things have been quiet on the home front; let's not jinx it......but I do have a little spy that checks in periodically on the weekends

Hey Frank,
Our boat name is Truly Blessed II, not Blesses. Sure appreciate you doing this for us-

thank you sir

No ......your boats New Name is Truly Blesses II. I have the name tags to prove it !! :smt043

Typo on my part.....sorry  The name tag is correct.

Looking at the list, we have 40 Humans (24 adults, 16 kids) and Gary's two pups...Gary, are the pups bringing their own dish ..... ....some of those doggie cookies ain't so bad....

Hopefully a few more folks will drop in at the dock....Frank will have some blank name tags I'm sure....

EDITED....oops...my math was off....that's a good sign....it means I am already getting into vacation mode...

As of now we have 24 adults (12 boats with 2 adults (yes I am being kind for some of you by considering all of us adults)) each, and 16 non-adults.

Deb Find'er ( Don and Deb ) will be joining us bringing the total thus far to 12 boats.

I only have 10 name tags left so it will be first come first served :smt043

If you want, sure...Tell me again what they are called....(their names that is, I can only imagine what you call them on occasion!!) :smt043

Lou (he also goes by the name of "Stupid")
Soren (she also goes by the name "Waddle Butt")

Let's hope this weather prediction holds up for the weekend. Who would have thunk that we could have 78 degree weather here in July. Time to anchor out for a night...
