Oh yeah.....I'm lovin' that forecast...... ...let's just hope they got it right....

As an aside, Mike from Dolce Vita cheated.....he had his boat professionally detailed yesterday by a crew of three.....his '05 blue hulled 390DA is shinning real nice.... ......

After 150 or so miles down the Potomac and up the bay, I expect the 420 to look like one big salt lick.

I am a DIY detailer and am out of time--so we go with what we got.

regards
Skip

According to the folks at BIH, we are all on B dock and check in time is 2:00. This works out well, the drinkers won't have too far to stagger and the non drinkers won't have too far to carry the ones that can't stagger!! :smt043 They also promised a slight breeze so Dominic's Cigar will not bother any of the ladies!!

Weather looks good....let the games begin !!!

Oh yeah, Gary, the dog's name tags are ready !!! I'm bring an extra supply of TV remotes and old cell phones so they have something to do.....

Frank,

Sounds good! We are shooting for a mid afternoon arrival Sunday. The wife is stressing out over what to bring for a dish...what is everyone else bringing?

Oh heaven's no you aren't the only cigar smoker! There were quite a few hanging out on Jeff's boat I think??? at Still Pond...I can assure you you won't be alone...... :smt038

If Stan and Donna have their drink making machine set up......no one will much care about aromatic cigar smoke by the end of the evening. Or anything else for that matter!! :smt038

CJ, tell your bride not to sweat over this, bring a bag of potato chips ...............steamed shrimp usually goes over well.

To all............when our club does a cruise somewhere, we always have a "cocktail party", everbody brings some kind of covered dish, anything will work. Trust me, if all of us bring a covered dish there will be more food then we can eat.........heck, now Im thinking I should bring both portable tables, just in case . I'm also bringing a small tent to set everything thing up under.

See some of you guys tomorrow and the rest on Sunday.

John

Check out my post from yesterday with the five day forcast, it updated it's self and looks perfect

Have any of you noticed how many views this thread has got.

Hey guys, I'm one of the 16 thousand that have been following this thread. I knew from early on I had a conflict this weekend. Just want to wish my fellow Chesapeake Bay (and beyond) boaters a great get-together.

Had a great dinner with Skip and his family, they got into Solomons about 1600 and we met them shortly thereafter. Tomorrow will be more of the same, and we are both planning to get underway around 1000 Sunday. We'll be dodging the ragboats on the way out, as the annual Screwpile races start Sunday. I'm sure Skip is just going to LOVE that...

I'm with you. I hope you all have a great trip. I hope someone remembers to bring a camera.

I brought my laptop and was able to "grab" a connection from an unsecured wireless setup in one of the condos behind the marina....

The first leg of our trip was on the "choppy" side. It was a 90 mile run and about 55 miles were in the Atlantic. We were in steay 4-5 with that occasional "Yyippie kie Yeah!!" thrown in to keep you alert. There are 40 Sea Rays here from MM. I met Mthor (Mark) from the CSR board here. I led four boats. A few folks had their bellys rumble and got a little sick, but we all made it in to Schooners fine.

Below is picture of the "bring a dish" table we did here yesterday. As Raven said, there was a ton of food left over. Don't fret on what to bring, although, by now, it's kind of late to worry anyway....

Tonight MM is hosting a BBQ and a Toga party....I won't bother posting a pic of me in a Toga....that might just ruin your weekend...

I saw a wind forcast for Sunday is 20-30 knots out of the NNE....it may take me a while, but I'll see Y'all tomorrow afternoon.....
