Best mod under a 100.00

I really like the lights and I agree with Frank.....the best sub $100 upgrade that I have ever made is the Bennett automatic tab retractor.

I think you did a good joob with the lights. I find my standard white cockpit lights to be effective, but they can be a bit blinding at times. I wouldn't mind having a more evenly distributed, softer alternative for the evenings spent sitting in the cockpit enjoyng conversation and cocktails with friends.

I dig the lights...and stripper poles...and crazy rap music.

I'll be sure to charge more then $47!:smt043

I don't blame you .......an awful, awful lot more for that risky job, though imagine the S/S has an active "ladies branch" too:)

Well it is only illegal if you get caught! The lights work though... I have had doezens of people be lured out by the soft red glow of my portable red light district!

That's funny LOL!

Best under $100 mod was stainless cup holders and additional cupholders! When I get my red LED's going I get a crowd just like Jason and cups were being set everywhere..... :) I have my lights rigged for red, blue or white ( but no.. not alternating or disco bouncing and do not run them all the time) We are a small marina and only very few have the colored lights. I get nice comments. Am definitely considering the auto tab retractors! Guess it's a matter of what your priorities are.... :)

OK, that settles it... I think we need a "WHORE OFF" :smt101:grin::lol:

OK, I am going to ask and probably get a lashing but what's the problem with them?

The problem is asking people's opinion..opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

On another note, (puts on dork hat) white light greatly hampers night vision by dispersing rhodopsin, a chemical that is the key to good night vision. However, red lights do not effect the eyes production of or cause dispersing of rhodopsin. So for ADDED safety, the red would be much safer than white courtesy or cockpit lights being on while underway at night...just saying'.

BUT.....in most states red or blue will get you a ticket if you are underway

Agreed Jim... I think (depending where you boat). Running at night is dangerous enough without confusing other boaters with alternate lights that do not need to be on. I get the not running with the colors on to help people distinguish your boat and your heading. My exp is that people have a hard enough time already with out throwing a curve ball...

Not saying that it's within or against the law, just saying the white lights in the cockpit are dangerous...and the law against running red lights is just ridiculous, but that's not the first law I've heard that makes little sense.

I like the lights, way easier on the eyes at night when having a drink with friends.

Add me to the list! I've had LED's for a while but just got them in this weekend. The pics don't do it justice, as they portray a bright spot near the actual lights. That really isn't there and the boat has a really nice, even glow through the whole cockpit. I love them!!!
