Baltimore Inner Harbor 2009

Todd,
If we go, you have a home on ImpulseIII if you like.
Thanks Frank. That would be a blast.

Eww! What are you going to do to that trailer? NO! Wait! On second thought, I don't wanna know!

I have balls. I just don't display them. But if you must see them... look now!
Nice...:wow:

or Impulse IV? Or maybe Impulse III.V?
Unless Frank gets called to an emergency engagement party (part two) again.

I like the IV Idea. Or you can call the next Boat'

Broken Engagement

If you guys are cool with a newbie to the board, we'd love to join :smt038

It took awhile to find, but the "Newbie Inititiation" wardrode to your first Rendezvous Mimicks a member I'm not suppose to mention.

I'm sure after the "Egg Toss" and the "hey have you ever unplugged shore power while it's halfway underwater competition" is
over, there will be a group hug, good laugh and a cold one or two opened.

The host's can confirm......Anyway I'm sure you're welcome I think only those with Red Balls aren't invited.....but what do I know

All are welcome.
We will get a poll going to select the Marina, then finalize the dates (3d or 4th weekend in June), then we can figure out important stuff, like who besides Stan needs to bring a Margarita machine, whether or not the Jersey crew will show up with their Caterpillar "class action" Diesel Power Flags and assorted paraphernalia, etc.

The important stuff.

regards
Skip

I love it.

We started planning BIH '08 in November of 2007. That thread has almost 700 postings and 20,000 views. With starting this thread three months earlier this year, we should easily surpass that benchmark.

Thinking back on BIH '08 I have to say that the pavilion was quite a nice thing to have. My boat was right next to the pavilion and I can attest that there was always a group of people just hanging out and shooting the sh&t. I am not lobbying for BIH, just something for folks to consider when they cast their "vote".

Also, while we're planning... Who's up for a Fall 2008 get together like almost happened at Urbanna last year? Solomon's Maybe?

What a great idea!! Kudos for starting to plan this now and not in May. We're looking for an excuse to go back to the Chesapeake next Summer. It would be great to stop in Baltimore for that weekend. Please put on on the list.

For all "youse" Jersey folks going down, we're probably going to spend the night in Cape May or AC on the way down.

Skip put together a little get together at the mouth of the Potomac but I guess he didn't invite you...

Four Suns will be in Urbanna this fall for the Oyster Festival... sans Gale Warnings like last year.

Skip, you Bastard!

And how do you know there won't be gale warnings this year, Mr. Smartypants?

I think Gary's plans to go to Urbana all but insure gale warnings for the weekend. Can a plague of locust be far behind....????

The labor day get together was thoroughly advertised elsewhere, despite Mr. "I Can't Handle My Makita Polisher's" ramblings.

30 Aug-01 Sep, Port Kinsale marina, I will happily add names and boats to the list. Gary's boat is on the T-head on A Dock; CJ and I are in A Dock interior slips, so the more boats we can get into A Dock to suck up all the power, the happier Gary will be.

I have alerted the Marina, and Dominion Virginia Power, that the second reactor at the Lake Anna Nuclear Power Plant will need to be brought online as soon as Four Suns plugs in. Can't have the entire town of Kinsale without power due to one guy's AV and Helm Electronics power needs.

Standing by for Labor Day committments.

Urbanna in the late fall sounds great, subject to weather.

And now-back to the BIH 09 thread. Either marina works for us. We need a poll, clearly.

OK, now I undesrtand. Thank you Skip for the clarity.

I was talking about an October-ish type of thing.

OK-now that Labor Day fun is over and the folks north of the Mason-Dixon are thinking about winterizing, it is time to reengage the BIH 09 planning effort.

While Stan and I were looking for the props that Gary took off of Stan's 48 at Port Kinsale for no apparent reason, Stan mentioned that Baltimore Inner Harbor Marina requires permits for parties like ours-apparently relatively easy to obtain, but another hurdle nonetheless. (Stan, do I have this sort of right?)

With this in mind, I am good with going back to Inner Harbor East, especially if FC3's classic 25' Carver is still slipped where we can all admire her as we enter and exit the marina gate.

All in favor of BIH 09 at Inner Harbor East, just like BIH 08, signify by "Aye"; I will then fob off the marina coordination on Festivus who did such a solid job last year. We can then get our checks in the mail to reserve slips.

I think that Gary, based on repetitive foot injuries, can use the handicapped space to park his '96 Dodge Minivan when he drives up, so no reservation required there, I assume.

Ayes?

We liked the marina. Hope the construction is complete to the point the marina facilities are open, though!
