Baltimore Inner Harbor 2009

I'm still impressed how Ryan wired his wife up with all this head gear/gizmos before he left the dock. One would think he was either going to the moon or was going to shock the crap out of her if she gave him any lip.

I vote for Inner Harbor East Marina where BIH 08 was as there's great restaurants (Roy's and Charlestons!) & shops (Handbags in the City, South Moon Under, Chocolate Shop, etc.) nearby.

Baltimre Inner Harbor Marine Center is a nice marina but it has been my experience that its pretty hard to get a cab (unless you call ahead and wait) and I am not sure if they'll be able to put everybody in slips close to each other as in the past they've had less transient slips available?

Maybe somebody should call both marinas and see what they are willing to do for us as I think ClubSeaRay has proven it will bring a large croud! Can't hurt to ask for $1.75/foot dockage

Also, this is actually a lot of fun and very educational - would be fun to do as a group (for both kids and adults): http://www.baltimoreducks.com/

Either Marina works for us-heck, we can alternate: odd years Inner Harbor Marine Center, even years Inner Harbor East, so if we get rowdy and piss off one Marina, we can take a year off before going back.

27-28 June, either Marina, so long as there is designated parking for Gary's minivan.

Ryan-I know that those MANs have some s-e-r-i-o-u-s torque--how about you meet me at Point Lookout, and tow Truly Blessed II the 110 or so miles up to BIH behind Sea:/Drive? President Obama will applaud our conservation of diesel fuel!

I guess we will need a poll to vote for the Marina.

I enjoyed BIH-E with the proximity to everything including medical attention for Davis whose affinity for the cheese knife was unexpected. Baltimore is a great destination. Thanks Josh for the quick triage!

Any dates are good for me. Nice job on the early coordination. My only requirement is that there be plenty of space for my new 60 DA. Then again, if I don't win the lottery by then as planned, I won't have a new 60 DA and I will still be in my 340, in which case just about anyplace with cold beer can work.

I hear Obama is going to tell us all to boat with 1/8 tank of fuel or less to decrease our water resistance through the water thus improving fuel efficiency...so you might have to alternate & tow Ryan when he runs out of fuel. But I suppose this is still a fuel savings and Obama will be proud (or at least until he realizes Ryan had to boat way out of his way, burning more fuel, to tow you in the first place) :smt043

We enjoyed the Inner Harbor East, too. Will the construction be complete (or will the marina at least have more permanent facilities) by then? IIRC they were not supposed to be done until mid- to late summer 2009?

We had a great time this year and are definitely interested in '09. I'll have to check out those dates, though.

....and if they'll let a 260 in, they'll let anyone in....

Don't forget Fogo De Chao. We are good for weekends in June. Kudos for the head start to planning...

We're probably in. The boss had fun this year. I just have to talk her into the short Ocean passage and Delaware crossing.

Just don't put us next to Ryan or any of those big guys. My poor little boat, Just Ducky, might start having feelings of inadequacy.

Best regards,
Frank

Frank-
Will you have a boat with a tree house by then?

All-
I'm fine with either marina.

Tim, When ImpulseIII sails off into the sunset, a tree house boat will not be far behind!

So far as location for the '09 event, we're open to anything. Can't tell you how much we missed the '08 event. Not to mention that the engagement we went to Florida for (which caused us to miss BIH '08) has been called off !!!!! Freaking kids !!!!

One of life's lemons, I guess.

Bet they change their mind again and call the engagement back on. Guess when they'll do that?

Would like to, Frank. But the boss isn't into it this year.

Best regards,
Frank

I'd love to lube up the trailer, head that way and raft off of you. Sounds like a blast.

But, That's because you don't have any balls......red or green.

I'd love to meet all of you guys, but If we come we'd have to fly in and maybe stay with the Admiral's step sister. She lives somewhere in Baltimore.

Eww! What are you going to do to that trailer? NO! Wait! On second thought, I don't wanna know!

I have balls. I just don't display them. But if you must see them... look now!

Todd,
If we go, you have a home on ImpulseIII if you like.
or Impulse IV? Or maybe Impulse III.V?
Unless Frank gets called to an emergency engagement party (part two) again.
