It was 102 on 4th. I went day before to start her up get her ready to go out in advance. Got dehydrated and heat exhaustion after 30 minutes putzing around in n boat. We decided it was too friggin hot to go out. Damn.
Stay hydrated, take breaks, and consider boating during cooler times of the day.Take care and stay safe!

Yeah, but aren't you going to start winterizing your boat in a week or two? :):)
Heated storage so winterization isn't part of the ritual, but you're correct, the season comes to a screeching halt shortly after Labor Day. I usually have the boat pulled early October after a week of maintenance chores. Realistically, there's a 12 week cruising season here, mid-June to mid-September. Shoulder seasons bring bugs in the spring and wind and rain in the fall.

75 during the day and 69-71 at night depending on mood and activities

I drink 2 gallons of water and an entire gallon of Gatorade zero today and I still didn’t piss before 3 o’clock. I must’ve rang my shirt and my pants out five times today. SWFL is no joke to work outside

I keep mine at 70 all day and night. I have a variable speed, 20/21? SEER AC system and a spray foamed house. The house temp is extremely consistent and the electric bill is extremely low. Best decision I made when I built this house.

I have done a few myself as well I bought a vacuum pump and gauge kit for like $150. The unit comes with the freon already in it. Evacuate the lines and the inside unit. Check for leaks overnight. Ezpz
One of my guys just went to service a mini split yesterday. Completely empty on refrigerant. He put a vacuum on it. That held. Put 300 psi nitrogen on it and bubbles showed up.

My wife keeps the house at 67. Hot flashes are a great thing! NOT!!
Our barmaids are either hot flashing or just plain fat. They keep the bar freezing. Many customers wear jackets or flannel shirts.
Usually our house is 78. Which wife complains is hot at night. With her in hospital I have it at 80. I’m comfortable now. May go to 84 to save electricity. I like warmth.

A few days in the northeast eased the pain a bit. Now back in Texas where it is hot. Front came through last night, dropping the temps into the high 90's for a couple of days. Then back to the brutality...

We have never not gone out because of the heat. The water is your friend. Anchor out and swim.
Obviously you don’t boat near Back River by the shat plant.
Spent 10 days in St Joes massive infection swimming at HM island. I’d get less diseases from banging a 40yo crack whore on West North Ave. Don’t ask me how I know.

No I haven't. The Corps tests the water in our lake frequently and quickly identifies any sources of e-coli and other contamination. They issue large fines for contaminators.

Local Michiganders are starting to panic... 3 days in a row of maybe 90°. I'm sure they are the ones with the house ac set at 68°. ;)

I just got in from mowing the lawn. The dumb air is bothering me more than the heat. Which isn't bad at all. 85° and the dew point is 62°.

I'm first to admit I'm the complainer in the cold. Starts at 40° and my bellyaching just gets worse as it gets colder than that.

I’m done with summer. -0f and 4 feet of snow. Bring it on!

70 degrees in afternoon and 68 at night for sleeping. System shuts off all day from 7AM until 4PM when the house warms up to 72. Electric bill runs about $117 per month with two large electric hot water heaters also going during AC season. It is hot and humid this time of year in west Michigan, but new construction and modern mechanical systems are very energy efficient.
