With this "heat dome" settled over much of the east coast and Gulf Coast states and the midwest, and many of us exposed to temps reaching 100*, where do you set your thermostat to stay cool in your home?

Also, who pics the temperature setting, you or your spouse?

74 here. I set it but let my wife think she does...lol. I have the app on my phone so if I see her move it I go into my phone and change it back without her knowing it...lol

Normally 75 day / 72 night.
Haven’t had to turn on the ac at home yet this year, not very warm. Lake Erie water temp off Buffalo is 65, year ago today it was 70. High today I think was 70. Sure is hot elsewhere though.

73 in the day. 70 or 69 at night. 85 ish in the garage the boat is in, or lower when I am working in there.

We keep it set to 70 all day/night. Friday night it goes to 76 until Sunday morning. Then back to 70. I keep the boat at 68, because of the 2' diff. Winter is 68. I decide, if it were left to my wife, it would be 62 everywhere, all of the time.

It's off. We don't have central air. :( Working on a mini-split system.

At home I run 76 during the day, drops to 74 at bedtime.

I think I hold my boat at 66 but there seems to be zero correlation between reality and the numbers on my AC displays :)

For this exact reason, I moved the silver bulb on the telephone cord from the inlet of the AC and mounted it to better read actual cabin temp. Thermostat can then be set up almost identical to home....the cord is usually plenty long to move it to get a much better cabin temp reading.
