Anyone think this boat is on the trailer a little too far back?

Actually, your trailer looks the way a lot of aluminum trailers look. They almost always end the I -beams well before the transom. I had a custom aluminum trailer built for my 260 and specified longer I-beams.

If your trailer is rated for the weight, and your tongue weight is correct, you should be fine. If the bow is snugged down tightly, the bunks won't break, and even if they did, the boat would not be able to pivot to fall off. Does that make sense?

Yes, thanks, I hear you. Hell, it's a new year, I have a great boat, already put 48 hours on her and we are overnighting this week. You know, I'm not going to stress about this anymore. It is what it is. As long as the boats running good and the Admiral's happy, I can always deal with the trailer chaos if and when it occurs. Until then, this thread is good to go as far as I am concerned.

Thanks again to everyone who weighed in on this.

Thanks Magster, I appreciate the compliment. The power package made a tremendous difference. My 260 has absorbed a lot of money and even more time, But I have been pleased with the result.
