American Flag Not Allowed

Daddubo, tell your son we are all proud of him also. I think a welcome home at Blarney Island is in order.
Too many people here forgot what made this country what it is today and it's all a result of ignorance and following instead of forming one's own opinion and leading.

I dare any person to tell me to take down the American flag or hide it as to not offend others......Better yet, I look forward to the challenge. My son, daughter, and step-son are ALL in the military and I will defend them the way they are defending all of America. I will be taking my boat out today and will proudly fly the American Flag above a mexican flag deliberately flown upside down (purposely did not capitalize "mexican") Bring it on !!!![/quote]

I don’t see that the whole country of Mexico needs to be insulted over this. People from many countries would die(some do) for the chance to make a life in the USA. Personally I dread the day that those same people might think moving here would be a step backward.

You want to hang something upside down from your flagpole, in this case I think it should be that schools principal. Unfortunately if the Fox pole http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2010/05/06/american-flag-banned-america/ is an accurate representation of public opinion 65% would be against your way of thinking. Our problem doesn't start in Mexico, it's here at home.

Yellow flag with the coiled up snake that says "Don't tread on me". It was used before and during the revolutionary war.
I almost forgot. You and every other American, both born here and naturalized citizens are most welcome for my service. I'd do it over and over again in a heart beat.

I agree with you 100%

My hair's turning white,
my neck's always been red,
my collar's still blue,
we've always been here
just trying to sing the truth to you.
Yes you could say
we've always been,
Red, White, and Blue

Yeah that's right!

Attached is a shot of the tailgate of my truck!

In 1948 my parents, then German citizens, applied for a visa to immigrate to the United States of America. In 1956 they received that visa and made arrangements to sail to America aboard a refitted WWII freighter (USS General Langfitt). I was only 7 years old, my brother 5 when we saw the Statue of Liberty for the first time (dawn on March 12th 1956) as we sailed into New York Harbor. A site etched forever in my memory. I still get goose bumps when remembering! We disembarked the General Langfitt on 13 March 1956. This was my dad's dream, to which he spend 8 years to achieve and the rest of his life enjoying.

In those days the law stated that my parents could apply for US Citizenship after 5 years continuous residence on US soil. On March 30th, 1962, 5 years and 17 days, they became US citizens.

In 1969, I was drafted into the US Army. I retired from my service to this country after 20 years. My service included over 2 tours in Vietnam. I am an American, not a German-American! I speak the language of my country. My 2 brothers served in the US Army. I respectfully display the flag of this great Nation at my front door 365 days a year. When boarding our boat, we proudly hoist the American flag. I have 2 sons that serve in the US Navy. Both have served in Iraq.

My family made a conscious choice to live in the United States of America.

I have a proud heritage and I’m proud to be an American!

You made me remember this: My grandfather came over alone(19yo) in 1905, he said the biggest, most memorable moment was when the Statue of Liberty first came into sight. He was awed by that "big lady". He'd have a big ol' grin on his face just telling that story.

Im sorry my friend. Obviously you dont live in Southern California where countless American Flags are seen being flown upside down, placed UNDER the mexican flag or having to listen to loud Boos and slander while the Star Spangle Banner is being sang at events. No, I am not picking on mexico as a country, just the individuals who disrespect MY country. Living in an area where 85% of violent criminals in our jails are illegals from mexico just verifies my statements and anger. Yes, I watch FOX new but anyone can come up with a public opinion pole in any favor they wish. Have them take the same pole here in Southern California where, by the way, has the 2nd largest mexican population only to mexico city.

I need to get a Gadsden Flag...

"I recollected that her eye excelled in brightness, that of any other animal, and that she has no eye-lids. She may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance. She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage."

"As if anxious to prevent all pretensions of quarreling with her, the weapons with which nature has furnished her, she conceals in the roof of her mouth, so that, to those who are unacquainted with her, she appears to be a most defenseless animal; and even when those weapons are shewn and extended for her defense, they appear weak and contemptible; but their wounds however small, are decisive and fatal:Conscious of this, she never wounds till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her."

"Was I wrong, Sir, in thinking this a strong picture of the temper and conduct of America?"

Ben Franklin, 1775

I would to take him to Blarney Island but his home is in Layton Ut. and stationed (Both him Just Made Lt.Col and his wife an E-9) at Hill AFB. We will be going there to see my Grandson Graduate HS on June 3, can't wait haven’t seen them in over a year.

POEM - Illegal Immigrants

I cross river,
poor and broke,

Take bus,
see employment folk.

Nice man

Say I need
go see Welfare.

Welfare say,
'You come no more,

We send cash
right to your door.'

Welfare checks,
they make you wealthy,

Medicaid
it keep you healthy!

By and by,
Got plenty money,

Thanks to you, TAXPAYER dummy.

Write to friends
in motherland,

Tell them
'come, fast as you can'

They come in buses
and Ford trucks,

I buy big house
with welfare bucks.

They come here,
we live together,

More welfare checks,
it gets better!

Fourteen families,
they moving in,

But neighbor's patience
wearing thin.

Finally, white guy
moves away,

.
I buy his house,
and then I say,

'Find more aliens
for house to rent.'

In my yard
I put a tent.

Send for family
they just trash,

...
But they, too,
draw welfare cash!

Everything is
very good,
Soon we own
whole neighborhood.

We have hobby
it called breeding,

Welfare pay
for baby feeding.

Kids need dentist?
Wife need pills?

We get free!
We got no bills!

TAXPAYER crazy!
He pay all year,
To keep welfare
running here.

We think America
darn good place!
Too darn good
for white man race.

If they no like us,
they can go,
Got lots of room
in other countries

Maybe calif. needs to adopt Arizonas law.

I'm Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen. I want to explain SB 1070 which
I voted for and was just signed by Governor Jan Brewer.
Rancher Rob Krantz was murdered by the drug cartel on his ranch a month
ago. I participated in a senate hearing two weeks ago on the border
violence, here is just some of the highlights from those who testified.

The people who live within 60 to 80 miles of the Arizona/Mexico Border
have for years been terrorized and have pleaded for help to stop the
daily invasion of humans who cross their property . One Rancher
testified that 300 to 1200 people a DAY come across his ranch
vandalizing his property, stealing his vehicles and property, cutting
down his fences, and leaving trash. In the last two years he has found
17 dead bodies and two Koran bibles.

Another rancher testified that daily drugs are brought across his ranch
in a military operation. A point man with a machine gun goes in front,
1/2 mile behind are the guards fully armed, 1/2 mile behind them are the
drugs, behind the drugs 1/2 mile are more guards. These people are
violent and they will kill anyone who gets in the way. This was not the
only rancher we heard that day that talked about the drug trains.

One man told of two illegal's who came upon his property one shot in the
back and the other in the arm by the drug runners who had forced them to
carry the drugs and then shot them. Daily they listen to gun fire during
the night it is not safe to leave his family alone on the ranch and they
can't leave the ranch for fear of nothing being left when they come
back.

The border patrol is not on the border. They have set up 60 miles away
with check points that do nothing to stop the invasion. They are not
allowed to use force in stopping anyone who is entering. They run around
chasing them, if they get their hands on them then they can take them
back across the border.

Federal prisons have over 35% illegals and 20% of Arizona prisons are
filled with illegals. In the last few years 80% of our law enforcement
that have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.

The majority of people coming now are people we need to be worried
about. The ranchers told us that they have seen a change in the people
coming they are not just those who are looking for work and a better
life.

The Federal Government has refused for years to do anything to help the
border states . We have been over run and once they are here we have the
burden of funding state services that they use. Education cost have been
over a billion dollars. The healthcare cost billions of dollars. Our
State is broke, $3.5 billion deficit and we have many serious decisions
to make. One is that we do not have the money to care for any who are
not here legally. It has to stop.

The border can be secured. We have the technology we have the ability to
stop this invasion. We must know who is coming and they must come in an
organized manner legally so that we can assimilate them into our
population and protect the sovereignty of our country. We are a nation
of laws. We have a responsibility to protect our citizens and to protect
the integrity of our country and the government which we live under.

I would give amnesty today to many, but here is the problem, we dare not
do this until the Border is secure. It will do no good to forgive them
because thousands will come behind them and we will be over run to the
point that there will no longer be the United States of America but a
North American Union of open borders. I ask you what form of government
will we live under? How long will it be before we will be just like
Mexico , Canada or any of the other Central American or South American
countries? We have already lost our language, everything must be printed
in Spanish also. We have already lost our history it is no longer taught
in our schools. And we have lost our borders.

The leftist media has distorted what SB 1070 will do. It is not going to
set up a Nazi Germany . Are you kidding. The ACLU and the leftist courts
will do everything to protect those who are here illegally, but it was
an effort to try and stop illegal's from setting up businesses, and
employment, and receiving state services and give the ability to local
law enforcement when there is probable cause like a traffic stop to
determine if they are here legally. Federal law is very clear if you are
here on a visa you must have your papers on you at all times. That is
the law. In Arizona all you need to show you are a legal citizen is a
driver license, MVD identification card, Native American Card, or a
Military ID. This is what you need to vote, get a hunting license, etc..
So nothing new has been added to this law. No one is going to be stopped
walking down the street etc... The Socialist who are in power in DC are
angry because we dare try and do something and that something the
Socialist wants us to do is just let them come. They want the
"Transformation" to continue.

Maybe it is too late to save America . Maybe we are not worthy of
freedom anymore. But as an elected official I must try to do what I can
to protect our Constitutional Republic . Living in America is not a
right just because you can walk across the border. Being an American is
a responsibility and it comes by respecting and upholding the
Constitution the law of our land which says what you must do to be a
citizen of this country. Freedom is not free.

A. Did you know that the word "race car" spelled backward still spells
"race car"?
B. Did you know that "eat" is the only word that if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, it spells its past tense "ate"?
C. And have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants" and add just a few more letters, it spells out: "Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, kid-producing, violent, non-English speaking a$$hole$ and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, goat-loving, raggedy-a$$ ba$tard$ with you"?
How weird is that ???

I did not serve in the military though my dad did. He served on a sub tender for 12 years. I never had to go to war though my dad has a ribbon for the Korean conflict. I don’t have any awards for bravery but my dad has a commendation from Donald Rumsfeld hanging in his home. I have learned about duty, honor, and commitment from the man who served, respected, and avowed loyalty to his country. I am an American and my dad is a Patriot. Because of his service I live free. We both live under the flag of the United States. Him, as the giver of freedom and me, as the receiver of freedom.

How much more is my responsibility to uphold the way of life he has provided than those who would come in with no history of duty, honor and commitment? Those how would take without asking, live under the flag protection without serving, or raise a family in a land that their fathers never fought for.

I will show, wear, paint on, or otherwise display my flag whenever, wherever, and however I please. If you don’t like it then talk to my dad and all those who served, fought, or died for that right. It is on their blood that I will fight for our way of life and our flag. I can do no less. I am a patriot’s son!

+1 Amen to that :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I think it's time for the National Guard to be allowed to do their intended job. Guard Our Nation!! Those ranchers should each have a platoon of pissed off American Soldiers with hi tech weapons waiting for illegals at the border.
