Welcome to the 270 AJ Mistry water problem. I've had the same problems, first it was water and air conditioning condenser pan which solved the problem for a while. Then additional water showed up. Possible sources; if you have a fishing package with a radar arch check to see that the bolts securing the arch to the boat are tight, also check the gasket material it may have degraded. check the cleats in this zone where you tie off your boat or fenders they could have migrated loose or the gaskets degraded. If you have horizontal rod holders in the gunwales you can get water through the tubes in him down into the hold of the boat. I do not have the mid cabin so I have the storage compartment. Water from washingthe rod holder area will go into that compartment and should normally drain out however my previous work on the air-conditioning issue hi removed some panels and didn't properly re-sealed them so water found its way into the bilge below the steps. The location of the bilge pump is not at the lowest point, for the water to activate the switch you can be walking in water in the galley. I suggest considering getting an automatic computer controlled rule bilge pump. It turns on every 2 1/2 minutes if the impellers sense resistance it will continue to pump the water out until resistance is gone. If it turns on And meets no resistance it shuts itself off. this doesn't solve the leak problem but it it sure beats wet carpet and other issues that wet carpet gives, such as mold or mildew, and it wastes a lot of time. Another possible source would be some leaking around the portal to the head on the starboard side of the matching portal or on the port side. A friend of the 280 Sundancer changed navigation lights and then he started having leakage around these lights eventually causing wet carpet (sorted out this is it but it's worth mentioning usually good reason seal things properly if you changed out lights etc.). Hope this helps solve the problem.
