560 DB Owners Club

Paul, thanks for sharing photos of some of the best cruising grounds anywhere. Great memories too because we've been to every one of those destinations before our relocation. (Only three more months until we're back on the water!)

Paul - great pics of your 560, really represents this Sea Ray well.

The 560 tends to be overlooked, and I am glad this post is getting some action and creating more awareness of this spectacular Sea Ray. I really believe the 560 has become a great value for anyone looking for a Sedan Bridge style boat in the 50ft range.

I'm not in the club, but loving this thread....awesome yachts!

Oxyclean and Oxykick. We keep crates of it on board. Works wonders for red wine...

Unfortunately, I know more than I'd like about this :smt021

Holy bandwith! All I see is a SHOWOFF! ;)
Nice pics and beautiful boat. Love the cockpit/bridge lighting.

Paul, great shots of your boat in Georgian Bay and the North Channel areas. In the 60's I was up there with a friend on his parent's boat and loved every minute of it. It's gotta be one of the prettiest places to put a beautiful boat like yours.

Paul Those are some awesome pics, How many months did it take you to find your 56 DB...."""???? Just wantin to know I'm lookin for a 48 DB and I'm taking my time, I want the MANN's diesels so I can take my time and look....

Robert,
I was looking for the "right" boat for two years. You gotta be patient. Good luck with your search and don't discount the 560. The 480 is a great boat, but don't discount the 560. The price difference could be marginal if you shop well.

Jackie, I've seen this, I've seen a 560 for about 50,000K more than a 48, but I truely do not want that much boat, I am Determined to find the right boat though.... there is one for me here in Michigan, but the Owner is putting in all new Insinglass and it's tan canvas, I cannot talk him into black cnavass, so O ho well I won't compromise on what I want so I don't want this boat now, Although it does have the MANNs I want... I will be pateint and look for what I want at the price I want as well... it's almost a name your price market out there, and now with Fuel going sky high it's going to make them that much better in pricing.

For reasons of nostalgia, I went back to my first post and though it would be a good add to this thread. There are a lot of relevant comments of the 560DB by a number of members.

It's a phenomenal boat, with great seakeeping capabilities, and I've been proud to own her for the past couple of years.

Boatingfool - do you have any idea what the fuel economy is on your 560? I have two CAT 3406E and have yet to test the actual economy but would like to know to plan some trips. Based on the CAT table @ 1800RPM it would burn about 22GPH per engine? Is this correct per your experience?

Not to take anything away from this thread, but if any of you know someone who has a 550 Sedan Bridge, I have the original Sea Ray slant back canvas that I'm not using. It's sitting in my garage gathering dust.

If anyone wants it, I'd let it go for the cost of the shipping. I'm not sure all the tiny parts are there, but the price is sure right on the parts and pieces I have for "sale".

If you are loaded down pretty well you are looking at 64GPH at cruise speed.

Is that your sweet spot for economy? Since I run off the coast of florida I've heard comfortable run is 20 - 22 knots - what RPM/economy are you at when you're at 18-22 knots?

I have no idea....we've never run that slow! I just run the boat, I don't pay for fuel so economy isn't a concern.
