Hey gang,
So what is everyone here doing for the 4th?
I think the wife and I , are going to take our new Sport 190 for it's 8th voyage, to a new lake for us. Tims Ford Lake here in south central TN, I hear it is a really pretty lake and from looking on the internet it also appears they do a fireworks display there on the lake on the 4th as well.
We have never had our boat out after dark, the trip is about an hour and 10 minutes away for us, think we are going to get up early in the morning and try to be there at the dock by around 8:00 am, so hopefully will still be able to find a place to park the truck and trailer once we get the boat in the water.
My wife really would love to see fireworks from the lake for the first time, so unless it is so crowded and I get too nervous, we may very well just stay out on the water for the fireworks show. It will certainly be a long day on the water, but it doesn't matter how long we are out on the lake when we go, the day just flies by and does not feel like we were out there that long at all.
I know it will probably be a mess with the crowds and all, especially folks trying to get their boats loaded after the display, but figure if nothing else we can just hang out there on the water for a while until it is not so hectic to get it loaded.
I have checked and the nav and anchor lights are working properly so should be in good shape for that.
