Thank you!
I love the Hurley. I’m only lifting a Spark that weighs 450 lbs soaking wet so the manual winch works fine. Let me know how the electric one is. I’m curious.
Will do. I went with the Yamaha EXR which is about 550 pounds with a full tank.

Windshield washer won't shut off until I shut off the fresh water pump breaker.

Used the washer for the first time today. It wouldn't shut off.
Anyone have an idea where to look? I'm sure a solenoid is stuck open somewhere.

Thanks!

I know the water source is from under the cockpit sink. I've noticed on mine there's an access hatch in the top of the cabinet just forward of the galley fridge on the port side. I wonder if that might be hiding the wiper washer solenoid as it appears to be inline with the wiper motors?

I just ordered a Hurley H3O for our new-to-us 44. Looks like your swimstep is about the same height. We have a 10’6” RIB with a Honda 20 that weighs about 415.

I ordered the manual winch as I didn’t want to have to deal with charging the battery, losing remotes, etc. How hard is it to crank your PWCs this high? Should I rethink and order the electric?

Also, did you mount them on center line? I read something about offsetting the mount to one side to compensate for the engine weight.

Finally, how difficult is it to remove the unit when not in use? And where can you stow it? I see it’s still on the transom in your photo above, so I assume it’s not easy as the video on the website makes it look...

Thanks!
Chief,
Yes our swim steps are high off the water so you have to tilt up the davit all the way to get started and lined up on a Waverunner (big dingy won't be so bad). I installed mine dead center as I am using it for a Waverunner. Yes I read about the off set but on boats of our size I don't think that is a huge factor since you have trim tabs. I just got my electric winch but have not used it yet. I personally am done with all that "cranking" even with 2 teenage big boys. I am not so worried about the remotes and battery, I do plan to keep the manual winch in a storage locker down stairs as a spare if all goes to hell I have a back up. As far as taking it off yes I can and it fits in the rear locker of my boat. I also bought the covers so I don't stub my toes on the mounting brackets. Make sure which ever winch you go with you protect it by coating it in oil or silicone as many parts are not stainless and will rust up quickly. I met a guy who left his out for a week and it was bad (south florida is horrible for rusting). I clean mine off with water and then WD40 it and keep it down stairs. Part of the challenege is the install, the tollerances are very tight so make sure you measure and double check before you drill and apply 5200 as it is a messy bitch to make small adjustments. Also plan out your tie down situation well as it is super important you get that right. I will be at my boat today and will snap you some picks of my set up.

Thanks, Grant. Appreciate all of the info. Will wait for pics...

Thanks!
I can literally crank it with one finger. My waverunner sits in the water, bearing the weight until it is ready to spin and set it. Hope this helps.

Thanks, BearPaws. It does help. All of the weight (motor) is in the back of the RIB so hopefully it’s the same.

Should be here in a week, so I’ll know.

In the meantime, we towed the dinghy again this weekend. What a PITA...

Just got to the boat, and JB is correct!

That was it. Thanks! You guys are the best! Took it apart and flushed the valve. I think the technical term was gunk.
All good. Have a great holiday weekend.

Here is my set up. I am happy with it as nothing moved while underway and when I take away the davit there are no toe stubbers...

So I was checking my oil this morning and found about 3 gallons of clean water under my port engine. I had some white pads under there and they were clean. Inspected my raw water hose to the water pump and no issues found I vacuumed out the water then took her for a quick shake down ride to get her up to temp and speed. No issues found. Water did not return. What else do I look for? Last ride before this was 2 days ago and it was dry.

That’s crazy... I hate when you cannot find the smoking gun. I have one of those in my forward bilge, had water after my trip but no idea where it is coming from.... not there any more and no trail to chase. Drives me crazy.

Forward bilge...under the entertainment center? If so, I just had this intermittent issue and found I had a sometimes faulty shower sump switch and that's where it overflows to.

Well I thought that too but I checked the overflow and it comes out the starboard side, the top is sealed better than new now so it is not leaking out the top. I cleaned it all up and though that was it, cleaned the switch and made sure it was working, sucked out the leaked water and ran again for another hour and had 2 inches of water again.... Go down there and cannot find a trail where it is coming from. I had so much crap stored in the coffin for the trip I didn't want to go any further until I got back. Unpacked the coffin thinking I would find the smoking gun at the water manifold or the pump and nothing.... Been so busy with stuff around the house that I have not had time to take her back out and run her in the ocean with everyhting open so i can crawl down there and see if I can find the smoking gun.

What has everyone been up too???? Been kind of quiet here? I am sure everyone is getting us View attachment 91797 e of their 48's let's see some summer pics...
Spent the weekend at Angel Island and Sausalito. Came across my new boat while running around!
