It looks like a little toy on the back - is that just the angle? My raft(s) on the chocks seem to take up so much room - I haven’t tried putting my ski on the back.
Just the angle... I have it in the certer and the weight on the davit.... Yea with the H3O still gives me tons of space... I don't have the hydralic platform, I didn't really want it. This works perfect, tons of these here in SoFlo and they work great.

Where is the reservoir to check the level of the hydraulic fluid? I think I may have air in the hydraulic lines as the platform went down easy but i had a tough time lifting back up. I had to keep alternating up and down to get it to come back.

The whole unit with all the hoses is front of the generator. As far as I know, it’s a sealed unit - If you’re low or air bound, you may have a bad / leaky hose. I’d give Florida Bow Thruster a call and describe the issue to them, they may have a couple of ideas to try and they were the OEM installer for most of the later platforms for Sea Ray. Mine has a sticker right in it from them. They’re going to ask you to exercise it though by bringing it all the way down and then back up. Need it working for your new dinghy!

The pump does have an oil reservoir, the cap is on top of the black pump see attached pic.

How do you guys work on your genies or crawl back there with all that hydralic stuff mounted there? Why didn't they build that on a shelf on top of the geny? That would drive me crazy.

I have plenty of room to do exactly that, crawl. Lol... I lay on my stomach and crawl back into the depths of the bilge when needed. Generator is easy to access.

There's plenty of room, and my pump appears to have a much lower profile.

Another sweet bilge. Mine is clean, but my strainers are green.

Question for you guys. Previous owner and/or mechanic must have removed the hush cover for the genny and never replaced it - OR, my unit was ordered without it. The generator runs quiet, and honestly the ER padding is enough to keep it from being intrusive, but I'd love to add it just for the aesthetics and additional sound deadening. I can't locate just a enclosure from my previous searches, and last search on Cummins / Onan turned up 'unavailable'. Anyone have a good source or know of anywhere where a used one can be found? It does have the bracket and screw holes to install one - which leads me to believe it may have originally been there, but can't be sure.

Ok did 4 nights on the 48 for the first trip down to the Keys with a wife, 3 teens, 2 dogs and a parrot. All I can say is great boat. No major issues the whole trip everything worked as designed with only 1 causality the port side front window actuator decided to die as I pulled away from the dock. Found the overall functionality to be great, never felt cramped or uncomfortable, as we left the dock daily to go to different dive sites and sand bars to enjoy the trip. Running 3+ hours was easy and boat drove great. Six months in, tons of restoration and customization I can say i am very happy with my choices and look forward to my next trip again in a few weeks. Couple little issues I need to work through for storage but overall great boat and great trip. Thank you to all the memebers here that helped me through this journey getting this new boat dialed in and customized. This site is invaluable to a Sea Ray owner!!!

Now... Where do I find another window actuator and how much of a headache is it to change it?

Congrats on a successful trip!

As far as the window actuator - is it totally dead, or just 'mostly' dead. Last year, I had the same issue (same port side one too!) and after opening up the panel where the actuator is, cleaning / re-splicing the connections, a little WD-40 and some gentle persuasion - it works like a champ. Slight design flaw, condensation can accumulate in there and corrode the wires a bit - and on occasion the gasketing around the window can actually be strong enough to hold the window where it can't open. Yes, you have to re-caulk the little panel when you're done - but I've found these actuators aren't usually completely dead- but instead just 'mostly' dead and can be brought back to life and go on to function flawlessly once again. Good luck - let us know how you make out!

My vent was also just stuck, I disconnected the window from actuator and oiled it, no problem after

Sounds like I need to try some oil... It tries to move a little but then stops. I gave it a little motovation bump but nothing. Didn't care as I was on vacation and I had a bet with my wife that I could go all trip without picking up a tool. I will play with it this weekend and see what happens.
