They did pop off. Took some persuading. PO put them on with silicone
Thats strange, the ones I have from MSI just snap into place. Wonder if yours are different? Anyway did you solve your drainage issue?

Found a good source of water in the bilge. The cockpit air conditioner tray is full of water and leaking over the side.
is there a way to flush that drain line without a compressor?
I'm away for the weekend and have some tools with me, but not that.
Any suggestions?

That said, I'm happy I am finding these... Making progress!
Shaps - I used a small drain snake that I bought at "China" (Harbor) Freight...it went all the way in and cleared the clog. BMAC (on the 58 Sedan Bridge Official Thread) disconnected his from the drain pan and used a 1/2" nipple with a garden hose adapter and flushed his with high pressure water. He said a lot of crap came out...

Thanks Carter,
Thanks Grant,
Won't be able to work on the drains til I get back to my dock. Will definitely report back. Thanks guys!

Took the drain off at the pan and tried to use the hose to clear it. No dice. May have to try and snake it.
@carterchapman
If you had the link to the snake from China freight would appreciate it.
Thanks!

While we’re on the A/C discussion...is there a humane way to access the filter on the salon air conditioner unit? I like to clean the filters and strainer regularly, and I can’t even see the ‘radiator’ on that unit from either the salon or mid-cabin access.

Nope... mid cabin is only access which sucks. Have to pull the couch and table to get access. Terrible service-ability design.

Have you tried accessing the salon unit from the rear cabin? On mine I would slide the twin bed away to access the panel in the left wall. My unit was right there with easy access to the little black filter screen and the pan.

I have. My unit was replaced with the new style units a couple of years ago which has a composite pan (win!) but the whole configuration is basically opposite with the blower motor on the opposite side. Just realized that - the original unit may have had slightly better access from the mid-cabin. I saw another thread a while back which talked about how the newer unit design are different configuration. I’m guessing that’s the case here because the only thing I see when I open the access panel is the physical compressor and the backside of the blower motor.

Coming back to my (OCD) quest on a dry bilge..

The rear bilge in the Engine Room is almost bone dry now, however, the forward bilge in the ER accumulates some water still. It's been really hot here, so have been running all the A/Cs and the fresh water pump is on for the duration so really haven't had a chance to work through more process of elimination. However, it does lead me to this question..
Are there specific areas of the boat that would feed the forward bilge in the engine room? Basically I am trying to narrow down the search.

Second question is about cone washers.
After replacing a few, and recognizing a 10yr old boat will likely have more to replace, is there a preferred method to remove these other than picking them out with something sharp?
Thanks!
You have weep holes that run through the longitudinal stringers. Don't assume the water is only coming from the center bilge which is under the battery box. It might be coming from the outboard and travelling through the weep holds. Also is it salt or fresh water?

Thanks Rocket.

Definitely fresh water.

I have noticed the weep holes along the starboard side of the engine room.
Appears they run along the side of the boat , then run along the stern and into the middle of the rear ER bilge. I imagine it does the same on the port side.

I haven't noticed the weep holes running to the forward ER bilge.

My autopilot screen has no power along with the two cockpit remotes for the radio. Does anyone know the location and type
Of fuse for this? My stereo still works fine through the app on my phone. It worked fine 2 days ago and now kaput.

I would say the easiest way to solve that is to follow the power wire from the helm remote to the fuse block, it is somewhere behind the dash access panel I would assume. Good luck.

It's the $3.99 one about three rows down - "Pacific Hydrostar" - what a name!!!

Tried to snake the drain for the Cockpit A/C pan using the "Pacific Hydrostar".
got about 2.5 feet in before it came to a halt. No amount of force was getting that through.
Just checking, there shouldn't be any back-flow prevention valves in that line, right?
Just want to make sure before I start going to town on that apparent clog. I am thinking of bringing down my compressor and blowing that line out. I can't see a vacuum pulling whatever that is, out the line.

That line goes right down in the ER and connects to the manifold. You should be able to see it and get to it down there. I would look for a kink if not dump some barnacle buster full strength in the line and let it sit. Hook up a hose fitting so you could clap a garden hose to it and turn up the pressure to blow it out. My aft stateroom hose was clogged and I did just that it took about an hour for the B buster to eat through it and then the hose pressure blew it out.

Thanks Grant... Will give that a try and report back.

You get your plugged hose fixed?

Tomorrow's project.
What's the latest on the storm for you?
