Need some help on figuring out how to remove the two panels above the TV area. I think it was @TNT8808 TNT/Tom that told me the panels are held on with Christmas Tree fasteners. I can't figure out how to get enough leverage anywhere around the panels to pry them off. I'm planning on mounting a TV in this area like I've see others do but would like to pull the panels off before just drilling holes in the panels for the mount. I think Tom told me to put a support behind the panels as well so the panels and TV wouldn't fall off. Any advice? Does anyone have pics of their TV mounted in this area they can share?

The panels will pull off, although they may need a little gentle persuasion from a flat bar under the bottom lip to get started. Once you get them off you'll see the cross members under there are more than robust to hold a flat screen LED TV. I measured at least 3 times, and then drilled through the panels into the cross members for the low profile TV mount and used lag screws to fasten. Unfortunately this is the only pic I could find. I believe my TV is a 42",and I had just enough room for Polk sound bar also while still leaving enough room to reach behind there to pull the cords to release the TV from the mount. I have about 3/4" gap between the TV, and the ceiling. The sound bar is attached with 2 of those key hole type mounts on the back with screws, and the sub fit under the cushion next to the vacuum and plugged into the extra outlet there.

That's exactly what I need to know Tom! Thanks again!! I picked up a Samsung 43" and I will have a few inches under the TV for a soundbar. Do you knw what model # your soundbar is?

Has anyone added Night Vision to your boats? Looking into this now.

Guys, spent all day cleaning and working on "moving in" about 4pm I was on the swim step and the AC pump(s) stop cycling water. I went down stairs and found the switch on and all the AC's running as this is Florida and it was 80 degrees today. I shut everything off as I don't want to fry an AC unit. Went into the engine room and discovered it appears I have 2 pumps that cool the AC units? I looked for a breaker and couldn't find anything. I let everything cool down for an hour and fired it back up and still nothing? Is there a breaker or did both my AC pumps take a shit?

Next, I have 3 of these lights that are not working... Anyone know what these are and a source.

There are plenty of aftermarket options for these, but folks who have replaced - did you have to change hole configuration behind and do you have one that you love?

Is there a display on your thermostats(s)? If so, are there any readings (i.e. LO PS, LO AC, etc)?

I did not look. I saw no water running and I just shut it all down. Do the AC unit control the pumps? I would think they would just run.

I found them on Amazon... Ordered!!!

The A/C pump on the port side is for the 3 A/C units down below in the cabin, and the A/C pump on the starboard side is for the cockpit A/C unit. If one of my A/C units malfunctions, and is showing a code then that unit completely stops working including no air blowing. When the A/C units are working properly, and the temps are set correctly they will automatically turn on the A/C pump when it's needed. I have mine set so that once it reaches the set temp the fan continues to blow even after the A/C pump turns off to circulate air. An easy check to see if your A/C pump is working is by making sure your A/C is turned on at the control, and setting the temp lower. I'd try this on the unit in the salon by the entertainment center as the aft stateroom usually stays pretty cool anyway.

Interesting, I did not know they conrolled the water pump flow. Makes sense then as by 4 oclock it was cooling down and maybe that is why it stopped. I am working on selling the old boat today so probably won't get back to Miami to check it until next week. Thanks for the info and help on this one.

ok next question overhead lighting. Is there an on/off switch and dimmer? On the helm I see "overhead lights" and a "dimmer" right next to it. Now the dimmer works but the overhead light switch rachets but does not do anything? So I used the dimmer all the way down to shut off the lights??? Is something not working here?

Regarding the overhead lights: On our boat the switch for overhead lights turns on/off those lights only, and the dimmer switch controls the brightness of the dash/gauge lighting.

Yes, found them thanks. And I wondered why these were all black, made no sense. Switching all mine out to white. Cheapest fix on a boat yet for $10 bucks!!!

I need a few as well can you tell me what size you purchased?

Thanks,
JB

Thats what I thought it should be.... Guess I am going to have to do some more investigating when I install my new Lumitec lights I just ordered to replace the old Perko's

The overhead light switch works as an on/off and dimmer if the lights installed are dimmable. I installed blue/white lights, when you turn them on they turn on white first and dim as desired, turn them off and back on within two seconds and they come back on as blue and dim as desired. Pretty cool feature.
