460 DA Owners Thread

Anyone else experience that you have to run full tabs when on plane? Any way to overcome this? More anchor chain? And bags? Bodies up front? LOL
I found several bags of sand in the storage compartment under the bed up front that the previous owner left. I got very excited when I first found the black garbage bags and thought maybe the boat was going to pay for itself but just sand. LOL I left them there because I get some pretty great performance numbers from my boat.

I’d love to see some pics of this setup. I’ve been wanting to do a 2 screen upgrade for a while now. I have a 01. Been trying to figure out how to fit two in there.
And now you have me really wanting to do it with is AR features. Been googling about it and now I’ve gotta have it! Thanks a lot! Lol
It's not the best photo but here is my multi-screen setup.

Looks good! What size are the screens in the eyebrow? I also like your upgraded steering wheel.

I like it that you have a Bow and Stern Thruster! Did you have the Stern thruster installed? I am thinking of that for a next year project.

Both were installed by a previous owner. When I first learned to drive a big boat my instructor made me learn how to use my engines because when the thrusters fail you better know what you are going to do. I usually turn them on for certain areas of my marina but never touch them. It just calms me knowing they are there just in case. They are very helpful when I do use them though.

2003 46 Dancer cored hull?

2003 46 Dancer cored hull?
It's solid fiberglass where all the thru hulls are located, but might have slight coring elsewhere. The hull sides above the waterline are a different story. Early 460's had balsa coring lay-up which could have an issue when windows or vents leaked. Later boats past mid-2001 had a synthetic (divinyl?) material instead.

Why do you ask?

Can someone help instruct me on how in the world you remove the curtains inside the boat? I want to take all of them down and clean them. Thank you!

pulled the soft hatch this week and the yard forgot to unscrew the tracks that hold the aft seat and they bent them.

anyone ever replaced these aluminum tracks that line the floor in the cockpit area of the 460? it looks like this but not sure if anyone had an exact match or supplier they’ve used.

Suggest you consider replacing the curtains with blinds

IMHO curtains date the boat.

BEST !

Are you talking about the curtains in the cabins? I'll check next time I'm at the boat. In the salon I have blinds.

Sounds like a fabulous vessel and someone will be very fortunate to take it over. Josh, you have been a great contributor to this forum. Are you on to a new boating project?

Good luck on your sale and sorry to see you leave the 460 gang.

460 friends, does anyone have clear and concise instructions on how best to remove the trucks on the sliding doors and replace? If so, mind shooting me a link? Thank you!
