I believe they are Groco 2000.
There are two Groco 2-inch ARG series. A 12-inch sump and a 14-inch sump; ARG-2015 and ARG 2000. Be careful throwing down part numbers....Basket is a bm-8 for monel and bs-8 for stainless.
I am a little late, but thought I could help. I have pictures of the install I did on my 460 a few years back. It was pretty simple in reality. Here is a link to my new gallery that I literally just set up today. There is a 460 AC album started. I have more pictures if you were to have any questions.I am interested in adding an Air conditioner to the cockpit. Can someone tell me where it was located, size etc. in later years
Thanks
Hi everyone. In the master shower, where you turn the water on/hot, there is like a plate that goes around it. I have a small leak coming from the bottom of that plate. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how do you get that plate off to troubleshoot further?
Got it out …. The handle was held by 3mm and I think it was leaking from the little cartridge… we will see.The first thing to do will be to take the knob/handle off, if you haven't done so already. My experience was that the plate had 2 sided tape around the edge, but without seeing a pic. I am guessing at this point. Are there 2 screws visible behind the knob/handle? If so, they will need to come off then you can get to the leaking valve. It may just need to be tightened? (hopefully that simple)
I am considering a Ultra 27/60 as a replacement to the stock 35 lb plow anchor. Have you outfitted the Ultra 27/60 on your vessel? If so, was it compatible with your stock bow roller? Thanks.I know there are a few other "60 lb ultra anchor" users here. Those of you who replaced your stock anchor with the ultra, do you swing a lot at anchor? Have you tried or considered trying the "ultra ring" that goes on the chain rode? Here's a video:of it being demonstrated.
Yes, I have the 60 lb ultra and no modifications were needed. Love this anchor and can’t say enough great things about the “set it and forget it” type style. BTW, I also got their swivel to help ensure the anchor comes up the way it should. Another great investment.I am considering an Ultra 27/60 as a replacement to the stock 35 lb plow anchor. This is great to hear, especially since you boat in the Chesapeake Bay. I have had too many sleepless nights when I drifted in winds above 20 kts with the standard plow anchor. BTW, did you also consider the Vulcan 20 as a suitable choice?Yes, I have the 60 lb ultra and no modifications were needed. Yes I’m in the bay and have not had one issue with this anchor. I do, however, recommend you also use a bridle but for a different reason — keep the center of gravity low and keep the chain noise to a minimum when you get stiff winds blowing you around. This is great to hear, especially since you boat in the Chesapeake Bay. Thanks; all very helpful. I have been doing lots of research as well and watched several YouTube videos and evaluations. It comes down to the Ultra and the Vulcan. My concern was holding in the Chesapeake mud bottom and your review resolves that. I think I am sold on the Ultra. Before I pull the trigger I wanted to verify that my low profile Lofrans Project 1000 windlass can handle the extra weight of the Ultra 27/60 lb anchor, so, I wrote to Lofrans this morning and waiting on a response. I assume you have the same windless so I am anticipating a positive response. Lastly, from which distributor/vendor did you purchase your Ultra?Yes I’m in the bay and have not had one issue with this anchor. I did NOT consider the Vulcan or any other anchor. I watched tons of videos, read lots of papers on anchor research and the ultra was the anchor of choice. There is a guy that travels the world with his sailboat that uses the ultra 60 so if it’s good enough for him and his wife, it’s good enough for me and if he says “set it and forget it”, I’m onboard
Hopefully this info helps. Feel free to DM me if you need more info. Again, get the swivel too to ensure she goes up and on the bow the right way every time.
P.S. We’ve been in 40+ kt winds and she held perfectly.
