A couple of day ago I had a problem with the sofa in the aft stateroom. It pulled away from the wall when I activated the switch but the back would not go down. My mechanic was on the boat today and checked it out. We determined, after checking all the connections, that the motor to the back had burned out. Called SeaRay who in turn gave me the name and vendor of the supplier of the sofa. I called them in Indiana and they had the motor in stock and it is being shipped to me in the morning. Motor is cheap enough. Wondering how many hours it will take to move the sofa and then put in back in place. I can't imagine the new motor itself being a big job. Anyone else have a motor go bad on them?
On a reoccurring issue, it seems that my fresh water tank is giving up its contents and we have no idea where its going. No water leaks found around the tank. We checked the anchor locker for the fresh water wash down as well as the fresh water wash down by the swim platform. SeaRay says it might be the Pop Off Valve on the water heater, or the Check Valve on the swim platform fresh water wash down. My mechanic says he has checked both of those areas. Anyone have any ideas?
