That pic can't be from a 420/44DB...

Can anyone confirm that the engines in the photo are v-drive? If so, they are not from a 420DB and the ad in yachtworld has the wrong ER pictured.
Excellent. Just let me know where you keep the keys - I know my way around your marina:smt001
Completely agree on changing the name of this thread to 420/44DB... they are the same boat!
.........
Thanks Tim,
It's very possible that after this summer I'll be asking for tips on how to install the bridge A/C. I remember seen your thread somewhere.
Alex, I am assuming DB stands for dual/double bridge so don't you already have one helm (in salon) that is air conditioned/heated? My slip mate had a Mainship 40 with dual helms and he said on really hot or cold days he would just drive inside instead of on top. Also that is a really nice KVH dome you got along with the teak flooring others have noted.
I looked briefly at a Regal 3780 SB that was a really inexpensive dealer boat with diesels. I could have traded in my 320 but decided to wait until the Admiral and I had a year on Lake Michigan to see if we liked it compared to the river where we are moving from in the Spring. Diesel boats on the river here are hard to sell compared to your part of the world.
Great thread, great stories. I'm about a month behind you - or less.
No - Sedan Bridge. You can add a helm inside for $40,000, but I've never seen one.
...... As my wife said repeatedly to me yesterday "we have a great boat already, we'll do this when and IF the right situation arises".......
....now that we're enjoying the new boat so often, those old memories have faded into the past and are no longer significant. I'm sure you will find the same to be true with your new boat.
Again, congratulations and thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
..... Heck, you may want to stay put and explore the sound.
