410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Hi guys

I'm looking for block plugs to connect the hot water tank to my 3116 CAT, and the dimension should be 3/4" 16 threads TAP according to posts here at this forum. This is a standard that I haven't been able to find here in Europe, so could any of you suggest a link to a store where I could find different plugs, bends ++ ?

Hey everyone. We are in the market for a 400/410 Sundancer. Curious if I can get opinions of the gas powered boats you guys own. I have been fighting with the decision. But after really looking at how we use our boat, I don't think spending the extra cash up front and for yealy maintenance makes sense for us. So shopping for a gas powered Sundancer. Thank you in advance.

I have been jammed up for the last couple of days. After 7 seasons, I can probably answer all your questions this weekend sometime.

I've had my 2001 410DA with 8.1s for three seasons now and love it. Handles just fine in docking situations and gets up and goes. It's thirsty, but if we were in this to save money, this would be a lonely forum. What else do you want to know?

Bryank - thanks for the offer. But actually found a 400 with the 3116 CATs in it we have decided to buy. Any advice on anything to look out for would be appreciated.

Hello,
I am trying to find out some info on prop size for 1997 40 sundancer. I looked on searays site but t chart did not include the 400 Da. I had a 22x23 nibral L cup it when I bought it but I want to be sure that's what I need before I buy one. I have never had it in the water yet.

Thanks in advance

my 400EC has 20x20 props. I am not sure what the DA uses. Also, it would help to know what engines you have. Hopefully someone here with the same boat and power can tell you.

The parts manual will show the prop/power combinations that shipped from the factory. I would expect that you may have to do some tweaking (likely take pitch out) based on what you experience at WOT once you load the boat up.

22x23 nibral 4 blades are what mine has on it. They work well for that boat.

I'm interested. What price? I have a '97 400DA with the 3116s and it can never hurt to have a spare set of wheels laying around.

Dinghy length? I have a 99 400 Dancer the swim platform is 12 feet wide I am trying to decide between a 9.6 foot or a 10.6 foot setup with the Hurley davits. My concern is getting off the back when there are no side dock available if I go with the bigger. add one foot for the motor tilted up and it doesn't leave much space.

Anyone with this setup either way so I can learn from others experience? THanks

Take measurements and go to your local big box hardware store. You may need an adapter for the connection but they can work. Flounder Pounder also...

Ok,here we go launched and commissioned yesterday --all good Except for AC 1994 400EC dual crusair units with SMX2 controllers. Boat was new to us last year mid season ,in the past and after we hauled it home I turned on ac units and ac pump relay breaker and all as well. well yesterday after layup not the case. The AC pump does not come to life AT ALL it doesn't even try, the units both power up and call for cooling and the compressors come on all normally just no pump! , AM I missing something stupid? I do have power at the switch on the power panel that as far as I got yesterday with all of the other chores going on. thanks

There is a separate breaker for the AC pump. Make sure that it is on. If yours is the same as mine, it is the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] from the bottom on the left side of the panel.
